When it was family owned it was the best!! Last time I went the food was terrible, substituted ground beef for shredded beef. The quality of the food just isn't what it used to be. And I've been eating there since it was up the hill at the old Overbys building. I've written it off, not going back

Reminds me of old-school small town restaurants- nothing fancy but clean & friendly with great food and excellent service.

We were from out of town in Brandon for an event and our son wanted Mexican food before we headed back home, google showed this to be a well liked place so we found our way. This is what I would consider a hole in the wall place, which I usually always enjoy finding such places. At night it’s not lit at all around the place, and it’s a smaller aged building. Had second thoughts but from what I could see through the windows it looked fine inside so we went in.We were promptly greeted by the waitress and she quickly had our drinks and chips and salsa to our table and ready to take our order.I always choose a dish with a steak product and was disappointed there was no steak options such as steak nachos, steak burritos, etc. She said they had shredded beef, I was confused but ordered a shredded beef burrito as I’m not a fan of ground beef plates and didn’t want chicken this time either. My wife ordered 3 hard beef tacos. My son got a chicken cheese and rice plate from the kids menu, but was portioned as big as an adult serving. The salsa was fresh tasting , chunky like store bought, and almost to much of a heat kick than we were used to back home, but I still say it was good.My burrito arrived and I realized shredded beef is Beef Roast meat. Which was okay and I really did enjoy it, the cheese dip that covered it was great as well.My wife enjoyed here tacos and I ended up eating her last one, it was good, but I felt the ground beef could have been seasoned, which is why I usually just don’t order ground beef plates anywhere, this is my typical experience we go, so I don’t fault the restaurant for this, my wife enjoyed them.My son only ate two bites of his dish, claiming it was too spicy. I think it was more he isn’t a fan of shredded chicken, I ate his left over for lunch the next day and I thought it was quite good myself and didn’t notice much spice. So final thoughts, I enjoyed my meal, the service was on point, $42 for 3 people with what we ordered I felt was a tad high, but nothing is cheap anymore. I don’t expect to return personally for the simple fact there is no fajita steak options and those are my preferred dish. But for those that like local places, shredded or ground meat dishes, it’s worth stopping in, the food is good. ?

Service and the salsa were excellent. I'm giving 2 stars because we both had an immediate reaction to our entree's and couldn't eat them.

My co-workers and I finally tried Azteca for the first time today. I’ve always been told it was a great “hole in the wall” restaurant. From the outside the appearance seems shady lol but on the inside it’s clean and if you stay hot like I do the AC works great. It is a small place so there’s only a few booths/tables and there’s one mounted tv on the wall. I ordered enchiladas which came with rice and beans. The food was very tasty and definitely hot and fresh. The chips and salsa were awesome. The chips were well seasoned, thin, and crispy. The salsa was tasty and chunky not just tomato sauce. Definitely recommend Azteca if you’re looking for a good, fresh, local meal!

This is our go-to Mexican restaurant. It’s a dump, but the food is great (I think they use better ingredients), they load up on real cheese and the service is capable and friendly.

Stoped by as they were just opening on a Saturday. Chips n salsa were real good. The food was also real good but something had way to much salt in it. Think it was the rice. I'll have to go back one evening to try it. They do need to remodel real bad. Robert Irvine would walk in and have a field day. Lol

The food is good and the staff are always friendly. The restaurant is not much to look at sand gives that real Mexican vibe. They have a couple of dishes I recommend ... fiesta burrito which is covered in cheese sauce. And the casa tacos which are bigger than your face and served in a fried flour shell with the fixings

Best chip and salsa in town.
