If I could give each item a different rating, I would! We went for lunch after church on a Sunday. I’m from MS but now live in MI so I had to order the fried catfish, I miss it and it did not disappoint, it was delish! Fried to perfection, crispy outside and flaky inside, seasoned just right. So good! Fries were good and hush puppies were small but tasty. My problem is the Cole slaw. They need a new recipe. It was bland, watery and no taste. Try my 94-year old Mom’s recipe,…Her secret is grind cabbage in a food processor, grind onion, add mayo, salt & pepper and a bit of sugar if you like it more sweet. It’s good! The pork chops, fried shrimp and red snapper my other family got, was all good! Totally recommend Genna Benna’s!

Just Don't. Whole experience disappointing. No one at entrance managing seating, slow to be seated, slow to receive drinks, slow to take order, waitress apology before order was even taken. Ordered from menu, refused to cook item ordered without peppers. Allergic to green peppers. Apparently food is not prepared at order. Chief will not accommodate special requests thru waitess. Waitress trained to discourage requests. Selected different item. First bite was all fat no meat. Second bite skipped for same reason. Third bite was meat, not tasty. Grits not tasty. Manager came by to speak about rhe food. By this time completely nauseous. Offered to replace meal or provide desert. I ate, maybe 4 bites and paid full price for the meal. Second bad experience. 2 out of 3 visits disappointing. Will not be back.
