From time to time I am in the Bruce area for work. My good friend Darien told me there is a cant miss restaurant in Bruce called Ella Cates and he was not kidding. From the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave the atmosphere is warm and welcome. I was leaning towards a burger and he steered me towards the BBQ and I am glad he did. Came to this cute little cafe and was blown away by how sweet the service and good the food!
Had breakfast there this mornin... 2 Sausage, egg, and cheese mc... i mean muffins. Perfection, ate em both before I got home.
Had dinner. Steak and potatoes and more potatoes. I mean, what can be bad about that for a growing boy??? Love the place, the food, the people that work there, the people that eat there and the owner. Recommend (From a picky eater).

Ella Kate's in Bruce is a cant miss restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and welcome from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave. The BBQ is moist and packed with flavor, and the cake donuts are the best east of the Mississippi River. The Sausage, egg, and cheese mc... muffins are perfection. Steak and potatoes is great for a growing boy. The staff is amazing and the food is top notch, plus fast and very affordable, which is great for people on lunch breaks to get a great filling meal. It is one of the favorite places to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner, always on point. It is good to have something in Bruce where you can have any meal and it be delicious at all times. If you want a great steak, this is a place to go. Cheese curds, sweet potato fries, smoked chicken salad, grilled chicken salad, fried chicken liver plate and double cheeseburger were all delicious. The staff is friendly and the decorations are beautiful. The staff is more than accommodating to all catering, dining, large party and ordering needs.
