Tried this place for the first time. Nice atmosphere and customer service. The to go order wait wasn't long. However the food was disappointing. The dressing and yams were mediocre. The fried chicken was the biggest fail, it wasn't fresh at all. It was dry and tasted like it may have been fried a day or two ago. Surprisingly dissatisfying.

The food was soulful and seasoned to perfection, the folks were extremely nice and family like... Yams 10, deeply candied. the ox tails 10, large and forks off the bone. Cornbread dressing flavorful and moist. Mac and cheese, cheesy and good. Collard greens were on point and tender. I'm coming back... hidden gem has been found.
I went for the first time I heard so much hype about it I love food and do not mind paying for what I want and have a taste for believe me I spent near 60 dollars for 2 plates and desert I got ox tales and the gravy was burned chewy I threw away greens was the only good thing dressing was nasty
