I have ate at Chicken Nugget for 20 years or more . Since the Dad handed down his business to his son , it has went down bad. Last year on two separate occasions I ordered from there , I ordered a hamburger steak plate , the hamburger steak was a fake pattie, it had no gravy on it . I didn’t get a salad . I ordered several plates the shrimp plate had 6 tiny shrimp with more batter than anything on it .i got home and called back, the girl that answered said they wrote down the wrong thing and I could come back to town and get the salad and gravy. I don’t live in town . I am not spending 50.00 to eat out and not be able to eat it .

This place was recommended by a friend "Melanie" who said I had to try The Chicken Nugget. Chicken so fresh you'd sware it was purchased today. I say that because I met the owner and his dad this morning while getting breakfast. The father told me he ran the business since 1984 and couldn't do it anymore and his son took over. The dad said he was on his way to go look at fresh chickens this morning and told me the chicken was fresh never frozen. The cashier was super sweet and friendly. Thanks Melanie!! Great choice!!

Terrible experience! Upon walking in we were greeted with all employees sitting in the dining area announcing they were "not it" on who would take our order and serve our food. Have eaten there in the past and enjoyed ourselves but it appears the service and hospitality has taken a severe downturn. I would not recommend going there to anyone. The food was also old left overs.

This place holds a lot of special memories as it's been around since I was a child and my family knew the previous owner. The food is pretty good and has many options. By no means is it a Michelin 5 star but hey its good for what you get. Price wise is well managed as long as you know how to get the best for your money. Favorite is the chicken sandwich, tossed in bbq with bacon on texas toast with a side of fries and a blue lemonade. The blue lemonade to me doesnt taste much like blue lemonade and instead tastes like a blue slush but thats why I love it so much. They used to sell cheesecakes and whatnot but stopped for some reason. Still, their fried pies are great too. Coconut cream is a must have. Overall a 8 out of 10 as there are still a few things needing improvement.
Kid-friendliness: Nice staff and very welcoming. Just make sure your kid behaves or it inconveniences others.

Always nice and clean and so far the current staff are always polite. But, being that we’ve eaten at Chicken Nugget off and on for several years, something about the chicken nuggets have changed. Not sure if it’s the type of cooking oil they are using now or seasoning. That being said, they are still good.No salad bar anymore, which was “one” of our many reasons for coming to eat there. Keeping salad stored doesn’t make a very fresh and delicious salad. Ha
