Absolutely terrible all the way around. First off I called ahead to ask if I needed a reservation and was told no, just come on and you will be seated. Waited for an hour while others were seated immediately. They were out of turnip greens. Service was awful. She would go get one thing at a time instead of bringing it on one trip. The steak was ordered medium and it came out rare, so they put it back on the grill and it was still rare. So I threw it away. The potato was hard and cold. We never got our hush puppies that we asked for twice. Needless to say our Valentine evening was ruined. It was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant. I can’t tell you how bad it really was. I’ll never ever be back.

We arrived and the place was busy, great atmosphere at first, waited for over an hour to get seated, a couple of other were seated before us after arriving after us.By the time we were seated, the great atmosphere was gone, it was like everything closed up and forgot about the rest of the customer who were just seated.Our food was cold and uncooked, nothing was right. Poor customer service, it was as if we and others weren't even there.Worse restaurant Experience ever.

Not sure where to begin. About 8 of my family members were in town for a family reunion and decide to meet up at Cowboy Jim’s for dinner. We arrived at 6pm, reservations were at 6:15. We were seated 20 minutes later, stopped a server after about 20 more minutes to see who our waitress was. Finally had orders taken, received drinks again another 20 + minutes later. Finally got our appetizers which were fried pickles literally floating in grease!!! Food arrived another 30 minutes later again, floating in grease, salty and very bland. Do not waste your time with this place! Extremely disappointed is an understatement!!!

This place is absolutely magical! I’m so grateful we stopped spontaneously today, after curiously passing by a couple times prior. The grounds are breathtaking and worthy of spending whatever time you can afford to enjoying the scenery and the animals. The service is exceptional, and the food is fantastic. Down home comfort food! The dining room has just as much to look at and appreciate! Surprisingly, the food was very reasonable for everything you get - quality, portion & service! We can’t wait to go back!

First time and absolute WORST experience ever! Apparently you have to be a repeat customer to get great service and complimentary items (which we were never offered) and the manager has absolutely no desire to listen to the customer side. Manager sarcastically said "he already heard ALL about it" after he asked us how was everything? And told us he didn't want our service again as we were walking out of establishment. Feelings are mutual. Side note: Waited 10 minutes before waitress came, got salad and coleslaw BEFORE the appetizer, then was told I didn't have to be rude (Only because i told her i didnt want the turnips and hushpuppies after we finished our meal and we had to ask about those items because we noticed everyone around us had them)to her, ummmm, baby girl hasn't seen my rude side. I'll pray for the manager and staff tonight because they sure need it! Waste of money and time.
