My friend and I traveled to Collinsville for a day trip from Jackson and happened upon Red Hot Diner. We were thoroughly impressed with the food and the amazing hospitality. The food offered was truly delicious, and the atmosphere was very fun. We also loved the decor! Highly recommend visiting. The staff were so extremely nice. Truly a memorable experience for us both. 💯

I’ve been to this spot a few times, and I must say I’ve never been so disappointed with the food like I was today. The Philly cheesesteak bread was similar to a hot dog bun. An order of fries had cheese on top that wasn’t supposed to be there. They were out of condiments, so a half of bottle of ketchup was thrown in a bag. I received one “happy birthday” napkin I’m guessing to wipe my hands with. The wait time was 45-50 minutes. I wasn’t expecting any of this! I’m truly disappointed!

Ordered pimento bites to be informed they were out. This is lunch hour on a Thursday… wrap was good, fries were good but they were Out of ketchup. Brought two empty bottles I shook out a teaspoon between those. She sent “cook” to get some… I was finished before they got out back.

Some of the best food in the area! Love their burgers and delicious milkshakes.

My family ate at Red Hot Diner tonight for our son’s birthday. He chose Red Hot because he loves their burgers. All of our food was delicious and the service was exceptional! I haven’t eaten anything there that I didn’t like. Make sure you save room for some strawberry cake.

Burger was dry and over seasoned. Also tried the cake. Very expensive for what tasted like boxed cake mix. Was dry and little flavor.

The wait was a long time for the only ones to be waiting for food. Took over 35 minutes for a cheeseburger, pickles and 3 kids meals. Got home to realize I was missing tenders for a kids meal. The pickles were soggy and very greasy. Burger was extremely dry and over seasoned. (And I like my seasoning, but this was too much) plus my tomato was gritty and old tasting. We will not be back.

This will probably get deleted—truth usually does with these folks and The comment section gets wiped down more often than the tables—because nothing threatens fake perfection like an honest review. However, If you enjoy over-fried food dripping in oil the color of a lawnmowers then you’ll feel right at home. But the real problem isn’t in the kitchen. It’s at the top. A pair of image-obsessed adults who run their business like a middle school clique—controlling, petty, and dangerous to anyone who doesn’t play along. Speak up, and you’re not just ignored—you’re targeted. And if even a fraction of the rumors about this place, including a recent drive-by in Collinsville, are true, then this place isn’t just failing—it’s rotting from the inside out. So come for the grease. Stay for the dysfunction. Or better yet—don’t bother.

If you're into soggy, over-fried food drenched in oil that looks like it came straight out of a lawnmower-and staff who treat drink refills like a chore-this place is your dream come true.
But the real nastiness isn't on the plate. It's in the leadership, the owners. Grown adults acting like playground bullies, obsessed with image and control. Disagree with their fake little presentation of perfection, and suddenly you're a target for harassment, manipulation, and unhinged behavior! And according to the community gossip, their dysfunction might stretch far beyond passive-aggressive Facebook posts. If those rumors about a recent drive-by in Collinsville hold even a shred of truth, you're not dining in a restaurant-you're stepping into a true crime documentary with bad fries.
Come for the grease. Stay for the chaos.
Or better yet-DONT.

Always out of food. I’ve been there 2 different times and both times they were out of chicken tenders! This is one of the main items on the menu! Then when I ordered mini corn dogs in place of the chicken tenders, they served them to me still frozen!!!!!

This is our GO TO SPOT! The people are super friendly. They treat everyone like family. The food is amazing! The chicken on a stick is the best as well as the fries. The season they put on the fries is awesome if you ask they will send you home with a small container of it! THEY HAVE HOMEMADE RANCH DRESSING!!!THE BEST IN THE COUNTY!!

I been to this place once & will never go back again ! They barely had any of the food they offered on the menu and from what I hear it’s always like this. The Philly steak was terrible it was paper thin, crunchy & WAY overcooked!! For how long I waited on my food you would have thought my fries would have been fresh & hot but no just some soggy fries. The service is terrible, I had to ask my waitress multiple times for a refill that I never got! If you’re hungry don’t go there!
