Uptown Soul Food Diner is a great diner tucked away on Church Street. It's got an great industrial theme with lots of space both inside and out to host an event you might want to stage. It wasn't to long ago Uptown Soul Food Diner hosted one for some friends of mine after hours. The food, music, and airy space to dance a little was really fun. As for chef's craft, we're really lucky to have a premier culinary artist here in Columbia... Be sure your receptionist or the one in-charge of Order Outs on a busy day has Uptown on your favorite Call In List, Catering or planning your next Event.

Ill go again ordering was my fault didnt know the wings came battered didnt like it and buffalo sauce had to much butter in it, it seemed but gonna give it another try....

The food here is excellent, and the customer service is top-notch. I highly recommend trying the loaded baked potato and wings. The baked potato is perfectly cooked and topped generously, and the wings are crispy and flavorful. Definitely worth a visit!

The menu seemed to mainly consist of deep-fried options. Including the ribs. I'd be more interested in ribs that aren't fried. Surprised that was the only option on that. Nothing too special here. The waitress/girl who took our order was nice.
I visit uptown a couple times a month food is always good and good service. Today I have country fried steak,green beans(they had a lil kick to them but not too much) and OMG this off the chain lobster mac&cheese,toast and chocolate cake. 10/10 at my visit today on 11/17/24

Holy spamoly!!!! The collared greens are the bomb. Corn bread was just the right texture for soaking up all those greens juices and the pork chunk was tender and meaty. I will be dreaming about this dish. Loved the mac and cheese -- cheesy without being greasy and pasta was firm. Last, biting into the fried oysters was an explosion of juicy, salty, crunchy goodness. Ate more than I should, absolutely no regrets. This place is definitely on my radar for a repeat.

EVERYTHING we have tried is amazing! We go often. It’s hard to get past the 51/50’s and loaded potato. You won’t be disappointed. We ran into Huggy at Sam’s a great guy. He stood a talked with us a while. The staff is great. Food is good, if you don’t try it you’re missing out! ❤️❤️👍🏼👍🏼
