“Great catfish, black-eyed peas, cabbage, sweet potatoes, mac'n'cheese, meatloaf, fried chicken, and a lot of other dishes as well. Excellent spot to get traditional items that can be hard to find, such as chitlins, turkey necks, pork necks, and other home-cookin' staples. Pro tip: get there right when they open. They are very popular and only have a few parking spots. Also, you'll have to wait a while as the line can get long. If you're *really* late, they'll run out of items. Be aware, too, that the selection changes depending on what they make that day. Everyone there is EXTREMELY friendly! They are very kind people who love their customers! The restaurant is tiny -- a lot of people get their food to go.“
“AMAZING. Great food, one of the most amazing finds on our trip. Service from JJ exceptional, cannot suggest trying something new ENOUGH! Okra, loaded fries, pulled pork Sandy, burger, and drinks were great… plus I want to try the snoot or tails soon (if you’re adventurous) and mom’s okra patty! Will be back.“
