Louise Open Pit Barbeque

Had rib steak, salad and onion rings all cooked perfectly. Rings were awesome and the lettuce was fresh and crispy. Wife had bbq chicken with beans and thought it was good. I also ordered sausage to try and it was very good. Good job! I owned a bbq place and I know that it’s hard to please people because allot of people think they are an expert when it comes to food but ya’ll nailed it. Ty for a good meal!

Exactly what you expect from a locally owned old-school side of the road BBQ joint.
Service on point, food was great, and the smell of BBQ filled the restaurant. Not only did we dine in, we ordered to go as well.

Looked like it had promise.... chopped pork and beef were swimming in bbq sauce.. couldn't taste the meat just the sauce. Ribs were ok but very little smoke flavor. Slaw was good.

My husband and I use to eat at Louises often 20 yrs ago more or less. We went further south of there recently-May 3, and discovered we were starving as we headed home. Without knowing what it would be like after 20 yrs we decided to stop and try it based on the wonderful food and service we'd had in the past. It is still the wonderful place it was 20 yrs ago!! Great food, wonderful, friendly staff that acted like we were old friends. Generous portions of great tasting food. It's not FAST FOOD it's GOOD FOOD. The wait wasn't long though and we got there about 1:30 PM . OHHH the onion rings are AH MAZING!!! freshly made, homestyle and did NOT give me a migraine like most restaurants' onion rings do. Their sweet tea is great too. JUST RIGHT. We will definitely be returning SOON.

Worst fish ever absolutely no seasoning

They are nothing like back in the days, the food has changed alot the potato salad is just sorry. They want answer the phone.

Very authentic barbeque. I had the chopped pork platter with sides of green beans and Mac and cheese. Corn bread was included.

I had the ribs 20 years ago, and I ordered them to go last week...I think they came frome the same box!...lowest quality ribs overcooked...

Great Food at a good price. The service was exceptional. The "bus boy" was also great to watch... as soon as a table was unoccupied-- he was cleaning it up and doing great. Y'all better treat him good Or I might steal him away.
