“This is an awesome little find I discovered in Crystal Springs on my lunch break. When I walked inside, I immediately loved the atmosphere. It's casual and comfortable as a pizza parlor should be, but it's also decorated so cool! I love the fun decor as well as the area with large screen TVs. The service is great. The ladies are friendly and helpful-definitely raised in the South! The food is made fresh immediately after you place your order and it's DELICIOUS! I, personally, love the calzones and the fact that they have 3 different sizes to choose from depending on how hungry you are. If you are passing through Crystal Springs, definitely go check out this place! It's right in the middle of downtown Crystal Springs so you can't miss it!!”

“We had the burgers, and they were great! The baked beans were really good, too. The coleslaw at first bite wasn't that great, but I'll say that I have had worse coleslaw. The service was excellent. We had a very friendly waiter, who updated on the prices - they're getting new ones and listed prices were wrong. Think old-school greasy spoon when you walk in; no frills or chills. But if I find myself hungry and in Crystal Springs again, I will eat there again. Maybe try their seafood.”

“I've been a regular customer for the past 2 years at supper time and noticed they've changed their menu to a smaller variety and raised the prices and lowered the portions. I've decided to start going for lunch and get a better price for whatever I order from the lunch menu. I ordered the lunch chicken fajitas. Chips and salsa were brought out at the time when we ordered. Nice atmosphere, good food and service. The only drawback I don't like is they charge an extra fee just to scan your debit card on THEIR reader, so I pay cash. I'm not going to pay any fees to establishments for the use of their card reader. I'm a customer, not the owner. Wait staff are always friendly, kudos to the servers!!”

“This place is full of historical importance and intrest let alone from having some of the best soft serve ice cream around. I been getting ice cream from here for over 45 years and I can remember my parents sharing with me the significance of the 2 windows on front of the building, jimcrow area practices. Ice cream tastes more like frozen custard these days.”

“Today's experience (Sunday Mar.3)was nice, very pleasant. All of the food was hot, the desserts were nice and the refill of drinks kept coming. The only downside was, when I asked what kind of fish that was being served the server look me straight in the eye and said, "Catfish". Even though it was seasoned very well and hot, it definitely was not catfish. Outside of that, I enjoyed my meal. The price point was very reasonable and the atmosphere was very nice. I would recommend this restaurant as a good place for southern comfort food.”

“This store has had some really wonderful staff the last few times I have went there. This speaks alot on the management because it isn't easy finding Fast Food places that have cheery employees working & happy to be there. They have always been nice to me & my daughter each time we've dined in with them. Restaurant is normally pretty clean.Parking: Lunch or dinner times parking lot is pretty full but if you pull around building there will be spaces to park.”

We were here just a few minutes before 11am for an early lunch on a Tuesday.My only complaints about this place is the person taking our order was incredibly difficult to understand and the bathrooms are dark and dingy. Both are things that can easily be addressed!”

“The food is good but the coffee is never hot and sometimes cold. They will bring a soft drink to replace it but what about my hot coffee? I've asked them to heat my cold coffee in the microwave before. They said that they have no microwave.”

“This was our first time dining at JB's. We ate inside, they have plenty of seating, both booths and tables. I had a plate with two meats of chopped brisket and pulled pork and the sides that I had were baked beans and potato salad and a sliced toasted bun. My wife had a plate a similar but with just one meat, pulled pork. It was all delicious and the service was very good. They had plenty of togo business too. The barbecue sauce is tasty as well. This is a hidden gem of a restaurant.”

“It's almost a problem that I've discovered this little gem in Hazlehurst. I went there for a birthday cake last minute. The one they had was absolutely one of the best cakes I've ever had! “We took a trip to the Inaugural Weekend of the Houston Grub Park introducing Black owned small businesses & food trucks.We decided to come hungry so that we could try multiple truck options.At this truck, there were many options. The truck advertised its burger, but because of the heat, we wanted something a little lighter than a burger. And because the name included Mississippi we thought a fish & seafood option would be best.We waited 45 minutes after placing our order to get our food. Because we do family style eating, we rotated waiting. We were able to get food from 2 other trucks while waiting for our fish plate & they had lines too. In the heat of the day, a 45 minute wait is too long.The food was served hot, beautifully fried and the golden color had others coming over to check it out and ask about the taste. For the asking, they had condiments that included ketchup, tartar sauce & hot sauce.The shrimp were great. They were large, not overly seasoned, but were crispy on the outside & soft on the inside.Everyone loves a tater tot & there were plenty to share. They were good, perfectly cooked and easy to dip.The catfish was thinly filleted, but overly fried for a piece so thin. The fish was muddy but well seasoned, but too crispy to really enjoy.I'd give them a 2nd try based on the shrimp, but I'm not willing to wait 45 minutes.”

“I happened upon this family restaurant on my way back from a golf outing. I was hungry and still nearly an hour from home. I made a U-turn, pulled into the gravel parking lot, and went inside. I seated myself and listened to country folks chatting about the lack of rain, ponds drying out, crops failing. Within just a few minutes of ordering, my 3-piece catfish filet dinner came out. Sides included cole slaw, greens, hush puppies, and just the right amount of french fries. ? The food was great! I'm not a big fan of greens, but I've got to say, these were awesome! Friendly staff; delicious food; down home atmosphere. One could not ask for more! I'll be back for sure!”

“First visit in a while, me and my wife was very impressed of new menu. We decided on build your own sub on menu. We both had the chicken which was a nice big portion of chicken on cheese bread with almost everything added, chipotle sauce is a must, great stuff. Let me tell you, they made these two foot long subs perfect. Best subs I have ever ate from subway. Clinton and Justin was the two responsible for the perfect subs. These two employees had the best attitude that I ever had from a subway, ever. Almost like they known exactly what you wanted on it. Thumbs up to you two. GIVE THESE TWO A RAISE IN PAY, and appreciate you have employees like these two. Don't let them get away and I will be back soon with definitely more orders. “Fries were piping hot and burger was hot too but I always order off the broiler anyway...but sometimes they give you whatever..shake machine was working too..that was shocking .. most times it is broken..they would have gotten five stars but the manager informed me they were out of ketchup...I was stunned..a burger and fries joint with no ketchup...c'mon man!!!!”
