My friend and I stopped by after work, but our experience was disappointing. A server took our drink order, but after that, we just sat there for a while with no service. Meanwhile, we noticed a white couple who came in after us being served hush puppies and greens right away. Then another white customer came in, and he also got his hush puppies and greens almost immediately.

We couldn’t help but notice the difference in treatment—it felt unfair. Eventually, we got up to leave, and the black waitress finally came over, looking a bit flustered. Maybe she assumed the others would tip more, I’m not sure, but the whole vibe and energy of the place didn’t meet my expectations. It was my first time visiting, and unfortunately, I probably won’t be back.

I’m from Mississippi and have lived in Texas for the last 15 years and l love to come home and get great southern hospitality and great Mississippi catfish and seafood. Mindy M was our server and she went above and beyond!! Oh yeah the prices were great too.

This was our first time at Shivers Creek, and it was a great experience. Sarah was very nice, and is an excellent server. I believe she is an asset to your company, and definitely needs a raise.

Parking: The restaurant is close to the highway, and has plenty of parking. I'm glad we got there early enough to be able to park anywhere.
