Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I ordered from door dash. I usually love the food here, but not only did they send no silverware, but half my order was missing. No sides with my entree, I ordered two slices of pecan pie, didn’t get delivered, and I ordered four extra bbq sauces and they weren’t in the order either. I tried calling and no answer. It was 5:30 in the afternoon. I called DoorDash and they said there was nothing they could do but give me a refund. Never will order through door dash again, and definitely won’t order from this restaurant again either.

Man, this place has really gone downhill. The food is still good sometimes but the kitchen and dining area don’t look like they’ve been cleaned for a while. The staff seems disinterested too. Used to be a great place to eat and had a lively staff, now it’s sticky and you can barely understand what the staff is saying. We had to repeat our orders multiple times.
What happened?

Edit: I wrote this while I was in line. I’m updating it to 1 star after waiting another 45 minutes to get my food. All of our food was cold when we got it and we ended up leaving without eating anything.

This is the worst dickeys I’ve ever ate at. They have items on the menu that I was told they don’t serve anymore they were out of ribs crispy chicken bacon and that’s all I tried to get. There may be more stuff. I finally settled for a loaded baked potato when I got to my seat with it it felt like it just came out of the refrigerator. We won’t be back to this location

I was here the other day with my best friend and the second we walked in, we were hit with a massive wave of smoke! The food was dried and disgusting. The grease was dripping from every inch of the kitchen. The only saving grace this place had was the young man that took our order! His name is Dominick. Absolute sweet heart! This boy deserves a raise for what he has to put up with and go through!! I’m absolutely astonished at how bad dickeys has gotten. I used to love eating here and now? Now, I never want to step foot in here again! Dominick, if you see this, just know how much my best friend and I appreciate you!! I was the one that came back in to ask your name! This was why. You deserve all the recognition you can get! We thank you for being so kind to us!

Yesterday evening, I went inside to order the special with 2 sides and a drink to go. When I got home and setting my plate, I discovered the 2 sides were burnt and threw it away (it was dark brown/overcooked). The sandwich was good at least. The two guys working were overwhelmed but, they were doing their best. The online ordering app should be turned off when you only have 2 people working.

Terrible experience this visit. Was informed when we entered they only had Pulled pork, ribs, and sausage, no okra, coleslaw or baked potatoes. The A/C was broke or off (not sure which but the thermostat read 80°). Add to this that after our order was prepared we were informed that they only would be accepting cash. I watched numerous delivery people get told after the fact that their orders would not be filled. Terrible customer service and the lone employee was apathetic at best. Not sure exactly why they were even open.

I ordered Uber Eats and usually this place is good but whoever worked tonight or made that food, that was terrible. The brisket was so dried up I couldn’t chew it, also very cold. Chicken was so dried out, the beast and my son couldn’t eat his boneless wings beside they was a hard ball. $70 down the drain. I’m so upset because loved this place and ate here like once a week. But never ever again. And they forgot my ribs. 😔

Sandwich was good but seems some disorganization. Out of pickles. Behind the counter looks messy and dirty. Sat down to eat. Looked around and LOTS of DUST. THEY never seem busy when I come in.

We decided to try this place out on a whim, don’t let the picture fool you. I ordered the three-meat plate with two sides. The brisket bark had a burnt taste, the ribs were bland, and the jalapeño sausage was just okay. The mac and cheese wasn’t worth it, and the potato salad looked like mush. The only thing this place had going for it was the bread. Also, please turn the music down. You can’t even hear yourself think in there.

Why have loaded mash potatoes or potato casserole on the menu if all you’re going to do is say it will take 45 to 50 minutes and huff & puff about it? And with 5 employees when two other customers and myself asked about the sweet tea being out they literally ignored us until I made one of them look at me when I asked if they were going to make anymore and still would not answer. Stayed 30 minutes to eat and still no attempt was made to make it. I have to say the first time me and my wife ate here. There were two gentlemen everything came out quick and hot no argument about anything we wanted. They were very knowledgeable. Second time we came. Everything was a problem to make. They were out of things like sweet tea that takes five minutes to make horrible experience and I’m pretty sure it’ll be the last time we come. to the D’Iberville location. Those five stars you see were for the atmosphere and the food not the service
