This may be a small family owned business with a wall up window but don’t let that fool you. They do one thing (Tamales) but they do it right. Ordered 2 dozen to share with friends for Super Bowl. Was a fav for all of us. Come early they do sell out. Also you can do as we did and call before to validate availability and hours of operation. Next day placed them in a steamer for reheating. $18 a dozen.

Best tamales I've ever put in my mouth. Have an outage here with Mississippi Power and we all eat here. RJ is the bomb. Knows how to roll them like her mom Doris did. If you have never ate these , then your missing out. They are the best .

Really don't get the hype. Was super excited to try this place, tried coming 4 times previously but had already been sold out, based on google reviews, but was VERY disappointed. 1) Ground beef, seriously? Not even shredded beef? 2) ONLY beef, seriously? No pork, no chicken? 3) No red or green sauce inside. 4) Seasoning of beef is mediocre at best. 5) size, need 6 minimum to make a meal.

While slightly more expensive at $2/tamale, the Tamales outside NCBC on 34th Ave are way better (flavor and authenticity), larger, and have, pork, chicken, cheese options.

Will not be returning.

This is the best authentic tamales you will ever have in your entire lifetime and in the entire universe and multiverse. The recipe has stayed the same for many many years when I was 7 my mom started taking me there we would eat on the stone bench and table and get drinks out the vending machine. It’s pretty nostalgic to me brings back so many memories. I want to go back and get tamales at least twice a week to share with my mother and my wife. To treat my mom for showing me them as a kid an treating me to their authentic tamales. I could literally live off these tamales I wish I had the recipe I would eat them every day and make bulk to store for breakest lunch and dinner. I love Dorris hot tamales. I would love to bring my daughter to eat some like my mom did for me when I was a kid. I will always cherish their authentic food always. They have my heart forever it’s that good !!

Parking: There is a two or three car parking in front of the business. Usually people come and grab their order and go. Me I like to sit at the table so I park in the parking lot right in front of them literally across directly from the business .
You will not regret trying their food and having a seat to enjoy it.

Kid-friendliness: They have a nice stone table and vending machine you can eat with your kids at. And enjoy the weather outside. I know I enjoyed it every time my mom brought me. Make authentic memories with authentic genuine food the tamales are to die for !!!!

Wheelchair accessibility: It’s a window you can wheel up too but window is a bit steep they would be more then willing to come out and speak to anyone in wheelchair and get their order.

So disappointed. Heard about this place for years. Very bland, not good at all.

I wouldn’t call them tamales, more like beef spring rolls or something, they weren’t disgusting but they just weren’t tamales, they’re fine and made with ground beef which is very grainy, the service is outstanding though, the staff is very genuine and polite. You may like them but if you’re expecting actual Hispanic tamales then you’re going to be disappointed, also they’re a little expensive for their size.

These tamales are the best! I just wish hours were updated on google. Drove 30 minutes and when I got there it was closed. There was a hand written sign in the window. Google had it listed as open.
