The Lounge Nocherie inside the Scarlet Pearl Casino is a great place to stop for a sweet treat or tasty beverage. They have a full coffee shop with flavorings and specialty coffees. They also have a wide variety of pastries, sandwiches and even cakes. The staff are friendly and helpful. A nice place to stop.
I read that the best King Cake was at the bakery inside of the Scarlet Pearl. We rode over and they were sold out so we tried other pastries instead. The donut twist was amazing. It was soft and delicious. The next day we rode back earlier in the day to see if there were any King Cakes. They had several varieties so we picked 2. The Cream Cheese and the Cinnamon Cream Cheese.
