We were staying at Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort for the night. After reading reviews for Under the Oak and seeing the pictures, my daughter and I decided to have dinner here. Kathleen provided excellent service, recommendations, and feedback on the questions we had on the menu. We had the meatloaf and creme brulee. Based on Kathleen's feedback on the portion size, we decided to share the meal and dessert. We enjoyed the food and left full. The menu offers a great variety of options for different palates and the atmosphere was quaint in a Bridgerton kind of way.

Me and my husband were there this past Sunday for a little date, everything was enjoyable, atmosphere, food, and I thought service was good until it was time to pay the bill. When my husband put his card in to pay, the waitress asked for his id to see if it matched the debit card. I have never seen that done at any restaurant, and we’ve been to five star restaurants before. It really left a bad taste in my mouth, made me think is this a policy for everyone or just minorities? From that experience we won’t be returning to that establishment again, by the way my husband would never use someone else’s id being he’s a law enforcement officer!

Please upgrade your breakfast. Other hotels have free pre-made breakfast food but here you have to pay for it. For 20$ it shouldn't be processed freezer food. Atleast the eggs were real.... I think.

I had 10 shrimp on a foot long hogie bread today was not what it usually is, was disappointed..I'll put my shrimp on one half of my bread and save the over half for something I make at home...
The Under the Oak Cafe is a casual breakfast, lunch, dinner restaurant. The atmosphere is sort of neat, almost like a fantasy version of a large oak tree growing out of the lobby. The food is also casual with standard breakfast items and sandwiches. Our server was friendly and attentive and the location allows children to enter without going through the casino.

I had a great experience dining at Under the Oak. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were seriously generous—come hungry!
We ordered the fried pork chops, grilled salmon, and steak, and each dish was flavorful and cooked just right. The pork chops were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, the salmon was perfectly grilled with a nice char, and the steak was tender and full of flavor. To top it off, we shared some beignets that were warm, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet.
Service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere had a cozy, welcoming vibe. Definitely a spot I’d return to when I want a hearty, satisfying meal.
