“A California girl who lives in the south always in search for authentic Mexican food. It’s rare to actually find one, and it’s here in Laurel, Ms. We were traveling from Tennessee to Nola, and figured we’d stop here for some lunch. It did not disappoint!!! It’s no different than the meals I would eat in Juarez when visiting and in my home town - also the service is unmatched and it’s close to the freeway. I would definitely be hitting this spot every weekend if it weren’t for the drive. Y’all get you some real Mexican food!“

“As a native Laurelite, I've been here for many, many years and have visited all the usual dessert places on my wife's and my payday date nights.

For tonight's date night, we tried something different.

Ladies and gentlemen, whether you're looking for something good to snack on after a sweltering Sunday church sermon or you're hunting for munchies after visiting the dispensary down the road, look no further.

Las Fresitas is genuinely magic. It's a welcoming, wonderful little Spanish dessert and comfort food shop in our own backyard. It's super clean, fun, fresh, and just an all-around amazing environment.

I got the Fresas con Crema and my wife got the Churro Split, and as we took our first bites, we both felt like we were back on the Caribbean and Mexico cruise we took last year. At one point, we stood in our living room eating the Churro Split in complete silence, close to tears over how good it was.

All of this to say: my wife and I both rate it 5/5, would come again (and would also gladly add 15 pounds of pure churro fat to our midsections).“
