I was working nearby and told by locals to check this place out. Absolutely amazing brisket and ribs. Literally everything I had was good. Potato salad, baked beans, pulled pork, ribs and brisket. All 10/10. They also have a really great sweet BBQ sauce. I can confidently say this is the best BBQ I've had, easily better than several popular spots in Memphis. I likely won't be in the area again anytime soon, but am glad I stopped by. It's 3hr from where I live, and I might have to make a day trip sometime just for the food.

We are experienced bbq eaters. We have been to the best and most expensive places throughout Texas and Kansas City. We were traveling and decided to see what Mississippi BBQ was about, and I was shocked at how amazing this little place out in the middle of nowhere was. Easily the best brisket my husband has had, and the pulled pork and pulled chicken was outstanding! If you ever find yourself out in the Laurel area, this is worth visiting!

Food was good. I had a pulled pork sandwich with Tator tots and a drink. Cost around $10. BBQ pork was good not the best that I have had but still good flavor and lots piled on a soft bun.
Wow, this place is SO GOOD. We’ve tried a lot of BBQ places around here, and Swamp Shack has definitely taken over my #1 spot!! The smoked chicken (sandwich) is amazing! I hate it when it ‘tastes’ reheated. Y’all know what I mean when chicken gets like that.. we’ve also had the St. Louis ribs, green beans, mac and cheese, tots, and baked beans (delicious recipe!). They have huge build your own burritos, with extra fillings like black beans, rice elote (street corn) salsa, spicy slaw, and more. I’m only disappointed that they are t open until Tuesday, because I want another one! Do yourself a favor, and go treat yourself! 🥳

I stopped into The Swamp Shack and it was absolutely fantastic! The brisket was tender, smoky, and packed with flavor—definitely some of the best I’ve had. The Cajun dusted fries had just the right amount of kick, perfectly crispy and seasoned, and the coleslaw balanced everything out with a fresh, tangy crunch. The atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming, and the service was friendly and fast. If you’re looking for a place that does BBQ right, The Swamp Shack should be at the top of your list.

it might not be the fanciest place but their food is very good, the ribs were tender, not dry. seasoned well with a slight chili taste. their tots were nice and crunchy on the outside while soft inside and a nice layer of salt without being too much. now their brisket sandwich was on point! it was so tender. I love the way they did sliced and chopped on it. smoked well very 100% will get it again!
