I can’t believe I drove an hour and 20 minutes to eat here. Slow service, rude owner, and the shrimp was more hard than a billiard ball. Straight up trash can juice!

Where we went to Godfrey's finally tonight which was my first time however the food that we got which was the Cajun oxtail alfredo sauce was nothing as I expected. There was no taste of alfredo sauce and it seems that it was drenched and brown gravy. When I spoke to the manager he said he will bring it up in the meeting and he ended up only taking $5 off of my meal which I had barely ate any when I was at the restaurant I should have got the oxtails and rice but I love Alfredo and I was thinking about the creamy white sauce. But the atmosphere was really beautiful the music was nice I'm just not satisfied with the food that is my review

Great place. Oxtail egg rolls were great with the gravy dip. Fried wings were hot and fresh. The rice and beans were the only thing that was cold. Overall it was a great experience

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. First, we waited two and a half hours just to be seated—no apology, no updates, just left standing around. When we finally got a table at 9:45 p.m., no one came over to greet us, take our order, or even offer water.
The couple seated right in front of us—only two minutes earlier—received fresh, hot food quickly, while we were completely ignored. When the waitress finally acknowledged us, she skipped right over our table again to serve others and then told us the kitchen would be closing at 10, as if the delays were somehow our fault.
When food did arrive, it was clearly leftovers—cold, stale, and unappetizing. The waitress was rude and defensive when we questioned it, even though it was their mistake. The manager’s “solution” was to try to push the same cold food back on us instead of making it fresh.
Between the incredibly long wait, the neglect after being seated, and the poor quality of food, this place showed zero respect for customers. I will never return, and I don’t recommend it to anyone.

They charge as if they are a six star restaurant and have two star service $8.00 for a drink called reggae fruit punch which was green leaf tea with extra sweeteners with no refills, all the was pretty good but had a sweet taste to it. The prices are out Regis for a party of 10 the bill came to $616.00 and tag on their own gratuity… the oxtails had a lot fat on them… they will not be in business long with service like that….

The server Kyla was great! Very attentive. My issue was with the manager. I ordered the turkey wing meal with what was described as pan fried cabbage and yams. The turkey wing and yams were ok but the cabbage was not good. I advised my server and she told the manager. The manager did not come to table which maybe he was “busy”. He told Kyla to tell me that’s what fresh cabbage tastes like. Really. Didn’t offer to replace the cabbage with another side. I am fully aware of how cabbage should taste. I was not trying to to get anything taken off my bill. This was very poor customer service on the manager’s part. I still gave my server a $10 tip. I know Godrey’s doesn’t care but I won’t be back. That was my first time there and it wasn’t a good experience.
