Guy's Place On Water Dining Reviews
Will never be back. One of the worst experiences I’ve had in a “Restraunt” thanks to employees and management.
Waited hours for food that was cold and stale. After tables that came after us got their food before us. My buddy got charged for an adults portion when we clearly order a kids meal, and they said they couldn’t do anything about it because we ate it like we were supposed to know what the difference was. Never had a problem out of this place until today. Don’t know if they have a new manager or new staff, but I was extremely disappointed. Won’t be back.
This is my first time trying and the steamed shrimp was waaay over cooked. very disappointed. Too expensive not to get it right.

Guy's Place On Water Dining features a beautiful outdoor dining area with a lovely lake location, providing a breathtaking atmosphere right by the water. The food remains top-notch in both taste and appearance, with a special mention for their catfish filet and the highly praised gumbo. Service is friendly, with sweet and attentive staff, including notable service from Mechaela. While parking can be challenging, the restaurant is worth the effort, offering a cozy mom-and-pop atmosphere. The space is small, and it can get quite hot inside, leading to longer wait times for food. Despite this, the food is well-loved, highlighted by fried green tomatoes, beer battered fish, onion rings, and hush puppies. For those traveling between Florida and Tennessee, this restaurant is a must-stop, especially for the delicious gumbo. The owner, Guy Conner, goes above and beyond to create memorable experiences, making it a hidden jewel worth visiting.
