This place is unbelievable, the quality of the doughnuts and the service is great. I've been going there since the 70s, it's one of my favorite spots to hit up whenever I get home. No other doughnuts franchise comes close. I enjoy coming back home and hitting up my favorite spot.
Well I'm originally from Mississippi and when I'm home I go to this Shipley's Donut to get the real deal!? There is a Shipley donut in Birmingham and for some reason the donuts doesn't taste the same. My brother used to go (went out of business) to Shipley Donuts in Florida and the donuts did not taste the same. He was told that it was the water in the SIP versus the water in other places.
