My wife and I went to Downtown Grill to celebrate our 30 anniversary. Wonderful atmosphere and a beautiful restaurant. Waitress was outstanding and our food was cooked perfectly.

Unfortunately this restaurant is closed. It was a wonderful place, sorry it didn’t make it. This service no longer offers an option to note that a business is closed, or I can’t find it on the app. Important information for users.

This gem is located in the old downtown area of Greenville and attached to a loft. I sat at the bar and ordered a drink and a meal. Service was very good and the dinner I had was great. I had a shrimp and pasta dish that was to die for. If you are ever in Greenville, this is the place to stop in.

While in town on business, I stopped by this location for dinner. I was glad I did. I sat at the bar and was promply greeted and my ordered drink came quickly. I ordered a pasta dish with srimp that came with an egg on top. Sooooo good. I ate until I was stuffed. What a great unassuming place, but great food and service.

We enjoyed the Crawfish Mac and Cheese and the Burger. Both were delicious. They also have several homemade cheesecakes to enjoy.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Downtown Grille. Our server, Ashley, was phenomenal. She was polite, friendly, and was quite apologetic for the customer service sins that were cast upon us by Don, the assistant manager. My father's, daughter's, and son's dishes by all accounts were very good. The pineapple and black cherry sodas should find a nice "soda valley farm" to retire to, and if those were my only complaints, I'd give the restaurant a "very good" or perhaps an "excellent" rating. However, my "Terrible" rating is how Don, the assistant manager handled my complaint concerning my ribeye steak. I always order my steaks medium well and this time was no different. However, when Ashley brought the steak to the table, my steak was overcooked. Not overcooked such that there was no pink to be found. It was overcooked such that there was no tenderness or juiciness to be found in the steak. There was only tough chewing and perhaps a choking at the end of such an unpleasant dining journey. I was hesitant to tell Ashley, because I didn't want to be "that guy," but the toughness of the steak was too unbearable. I told Ashley and she went to tell Don, the AM. Don, the AM, quickly came out to tell me that the restaurant isn't responsible for "the quality of its steaks that are ordered medium well or well." I simply wanted what I ordered - a medium well done steak. Yes, this is printed on the menu. However, like most businesses that offer up neatly printed disclaimers, businesses are not absolved for negligence. I didn't order seasoned leather. I ordered a steak - medium well - maybe with a hint of pink. I didn't need perfection but I did need something that was edible. I'm assuming if that disclaimer had to be printed on your menu, it's because this was a recurring issue. Maybe they had a new cook who hadn't got his timing down - yet. It happens. Maybe a new stove. A passive aggressive cook. Don, the AM, told me that there was nothing he could do and there was nothing he was willing to do. I simply wanted what I ordered. I didn't want excuses or a disclaimer. I just wanted a remedy to an overcooked steak. Nevertheless, I didn't want to argue as it appeared that Don, the AM, enjoyed tell me "too bad. Read the fine print." I don't go home to Greenville often but I like a good steak and I like good food. I would've gone to Downtown Grille each time I went home, but unfortunately, Don, the AM, let me know that my being satisfied at his restaurant wasn't high on his list of things to that day. So, I paid (and tipped Ashley well) and Downtown Grille will never get a dime of my money again. Bad customer service should never be rewarded. And negligence should always be addressed even with neatly printed disclaimers. This is what good businesses do. DG, you don't need the disclaimer printed in your menu. I'm pretty sure the state of Mississippi has a lemon law to protect you and my steak was definitely a lemon.

The food and service were excellent. I had stuffed catfish with alligator gravy. My son had the lamb kabob. We would highly recommend both. We finished the meal with the best bread pudding I’ve ever had. The downtown area is pretty dismal however the Grille is worth the drive.

You never know when you might find a jewel when you are traveling the back roads, especially in Mississippi, but this is truly one. A bit off the beaten track away from the commercial strip, it is located on the former main drag across from an old abandoned Buick Dealership building and where a tornado destroyed a building several years ago. The building across the street is a beautiful scene in the evening sunset too. The inside has been tastefully redone, but we sat outside in mid April. Our waitstaff was young and tentative at first, but brightened delightfully with a bit of conversation. The management came around frequently to check and was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We also struck up a conversation with a fellow visitor who visits Greenville frequently that was fun and informative. So the atmosphere was great. But the food was unexpectedly good. We shared the shrimp and grits and a Caesar salad which was more than enough for the two of us. The homemade Caesar dressing was as good as any I have tasted. The shrimp were large and cooked perfectly —as were the grits. But the star was the dark brown roux surrounding the presentation with just the right amount of spicey pepperiness that complemented and did not overwhelm the shrimp/grits. We have eaten a lot of shrimp and grits in our lifetimes and this was one of the most memorable! If we pass this way again will definitely stop by! Highly recommended!!

Casual environment but higher end entrees at a great price. The food was excellent and the bartender was top shelf.

We have eaten here every chance we get! Nothing else like it in the Delta. Chef John Kellogg ( I asked his name) has taken this place to a new level. Since he started last fall. Menu is updated with the seasons, no longer a "cajun" menu. Amazing Friday fish specials. The swordfish with sweet soy glaze and crab fried rice this weekend incredible. Since reopening post Covid there is also a small extra menu of items small shareable plates which the waitress Liz explained changes everything few weeks and mid week extras. We also tried the recommended house cocktail Greenville Water. A play on Greenville Mississippi's very interesting water supply story. Very refreshing, light. Look at their facebook posts or web for food pictures you will understand my review. I will respond to the post from Kentucky... I had that dish. Maybe the writer didnt know what she ordered. Osso bucco is a braised shank , calf muscle. They use pork. It should fall off the bone and be in a sauce. I loved the dish when we ate there in January. Hope it is back on for winter. There are new businesses coming to the old downtown area. Beautiful florist gift shop, Butcher and Loft hotel. Nice to see Greenville turning itself around. Try the cheesecake, oh my.... Pictures from their web site. I dont photograph my dinner.

We visited on the evening of the March 13,2020. I chose the Osso Buco for my entree. It was nothing more that the lower leg, simmered in gravy, much like a pot roast. I pulled the meat off the bone with my fork and the odor of rotten meat hit me. It turned my stomach, my husband even lost his appetite. Who could eat with the smell of road kill on you plate. Would not eat here again. Biggest waste of $90 I have ever spent on a meal. I am thankful that I did not get sick.
