Many empty tables, but still had to wait 25 minutes to be seated. After being seated, had to wait 20 minutes to even be acknowledged. After waiting 5 minutes longer, we just left.

The restaurant opens at 5 and we arrived just a few minutes after. I had not made a reservation, but was told I didn’t need one and it would be about a 20 minute wait, which was surprising because of the vast number of empty tables. The ladies at the check in stand told us it was a server issue. Nearly 30 minutes passed before we were taken to a table, where we sat for an additional 10 minutes before even being acknowledged, only to be told our server would be around shortly. Five minutes later, we still hadn’t met our server, so we just left. There were only two of us, so it’s not like it was going to be a daunting job for the servers, whose shift had just started. Too bad because I usually over tip good service. Save yourselves some frustration and eat somewhere that still values their customers.

I was born and raised on the coast. I have eaten my fair share of seafood. This place is not on my list of places to recommend. I asked the waitress when we first got there if they had mojitos and if so what different flavors. She was not aware that there were different flavors of mojitos. My boyfriend and I ordered the corn bisque which came out looking like a dark gravy with corn in it. It had a strange strong seasoning taste to it. We did not enjoy it at all. We then ordered different shrimp options for our meal. They were all really bland in flavor once you peeled them since all of the dry seasoning was poured on top of the shrimp once plated and not cooked into the shrimp. We will not be back!

What a major disappointment our evening out turned out to be. This was to be a treat for my wife’s birthday. 4 of us were seated by 6pm. Dining room was still sporting many empty tables all around us. Drinks and bread were brought to the table fairly quick. 25 minutes passed before we were finally able to order our appetizers and dinner. Took another 25 minutes to finally get our appetizers. Food was delicious! Sadly, the evening got worse. Waiting time for our meal was absolutely ridiculous. By 7:10pm we still hadn’t been served. No updates on the status of our meals, no excuses or apologies. We told our waiter to put everything in to go boxes. We’d had enough. Manager was out and about cleaning tables showing no concern. We watched the dining room fill up while also receiving their meals. We sat patiently for as long as we could stand. Still no dinner…. Spoke with the manager and explained that we were still waiting for our dinner to no avail. and later requested a discount for experiencing such terrible service. Declined to do so. Manager was told we hadn’t waited that long yet there we were… no dinner after nearly 1 1/2 hours. Manager was composed and seemed to be inexperienced but continued to insist we weren’t waiting too long…. Trying to shift or deflect blame on us. We enjoy fine dining and generally spend a lot to enjoy good food and good service. We’ve been dining at Steamers for years. In fact, we had family from out of town and treated them all to Steamers. $800 evening. Service and food were incredible and family really enjoyed the evening. Last night… $300 down the tubes…. We won’t be back and we’ll share our experience with friends and family. Sadly, restaurants are struggling to get and keep good help. Service in the area has been getting worse. Other businesses are struggling too. For the price people pay to enjoy dining at these restaurants, customers should get their money’s worth. Recommend everyone to avoid Steamers.

This place usually has great food. The other night was off. The manager lady that came by was a complete disappointment. She made crazy faces while I explained the problems I had with my food and made me feel like she had no care and took offense to what I was saying instead of being apologetic. She should not be allowed to talk to tables with that attitude. The other staff however, was wonderful. The hostess were on top of their stuff and made sure to get us a table we would like, even without a reservation. Brandy and Emily also spoke with us on the way out and was super apologetic and made us feel like we should come back again. They really did the job the other manager should have. Way to recover things ladies! Enjoyed our talk while we waited on the shuttle bus to pick us up. I rated this better than it was just because of past experiences here. We will be back because we know how good it really is, chalk it up to just a poor night. Better luck next time

We were there on 6/28/25, I ordered steak, it was dry and over cooked. My husband got the seafood platter, fish burned, other parts of platter were over cooked as well. Our waitress was understanding and sorry our food arrived like this. She said she did say something to the cook, but still nothing was done about it. $103.00 later, lesson learned. Very disappointed because it was referred to us to try.

Went to dinner with my wife last night and had dungeness crab legs! They were cold and Seasoning was dumped on top not boiled in crab boil like Louisiana! Wife felt the same way! This place used to be packed being its located next to island view casino but went on a Friday night at 7pm! No waiting for a table plenty available! I guess everyone else is realizing it’s just not good anymore! The side items were really good!
Food was bland at best and the seafood portion was very small considering it was $50 per plate. We won’t be back here again! Our server was good, food was not .
This place is a rip off. I don’t even want to give it 1 star. If you’re looking to waste $51 this is your place. DO NOT get the create your own Seafood platter.. it is a half of a cluster of crab legs and 5 shrimp. WASTE OF MONEY. Will not return ever again. Servers are slow, and management didn’t even apologize for this embarrassment they brought to my table. AWFUL!!!!
We were disappointed with our meal on our visit. Oysters were very gritty, as though they had not been cleaned. Wife's Ribeye was VERY thin cut for the price. Being regular Island View visitors and locals, there are better options in the Casino and nearby.
