I was in town for a work function last week. We needed lunch catered for Wednesday and Big Roosta's BBQ was the right place for us to go. David (Big Roosta) was great. He seemed like an all around good Dude. Very communicative through the whole process. He had upfront pricing. Several options so we had variety. It was ready waiting on us exactly when we asked. It was also some of the best BBQ I've ever had. We had 18 people so we ordered 8 sampler platters. That was more than enough. We definitely got our moneys worth. If back in the Gulfport area I will absolutely consider doing business with David again. Either for catering or just stopping in for a quick bite.

Just amazing! Prices are super reasonable for the quality. Ordered a 4 pieces smoked wings with Cajun corn and baked beans and everything was on point. Even had an extra wing! The restaurant atmosphere is super chill, gives you that feeling that you're invited to eat at your friend's house. Loved it!

My husband and I went in for lunch I ordered the half rack of ribs and a regular Mac n cheese. He ordered the quad burger with cheese it came with fries. Both of our meals were really good. Its hard to find good bbq but this place was amazing. It was alot of food and a decent price for BBQ. I will be going back. Only down side I seen is if you dont like to eat in a loud place this wont work for you the music playing is pretty loud but hey they have to go so there is always that option.

David BigRoosta Simmons Big Roosta Bbq and catering for the win today! We been rocking with him and always will. We don't care what a visitor has to say!!! Every last bite is phenomenal ribs we're so good didn't even need the sauce!!!

Hands down the best BBQ on the coast! Some of the best I’ve ever had—period. And coming from VA/NC, I know good BBQ. Not only are they some of the kindest people you’ll meet, but wow… they can cook. I went all the time, and they never missed. Every single meal was amazing. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and it’s all fantastic, but the pulled pork? Next level. It’s so flavorful you don’t even need sauce—seriously, it’s that good.

I love my rib falling off the bone. It’s the Smokey taste for me. And the cotton candy lemonade is the bomb.
