Best breakfast on the Gulf Coast!!! I haven’t found anything I didn’t enjoy. Fantastic food, great service, and wonderful atmosphere.
Can no longer say I hate grits ; now I crave their shrimp and grits ! Life changing !
I had a delicious and super cute latte, the amazing blueberry ricotta pancakes, potatoes, and tomatoes. It was all so good, possibly the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Excellent service and a very interesting, eclectic space.
Very fresh and savory. Smoked salmon bagel with capers, fresh picked dill, and (asked for) red onion was delectable! Our waitperson, Tyler, has exceptional customer service skills, appreciated the entire experience. Loose leaf tea with local honey was an immersion in bliss. Pork hash was a delicately layered depth of flavor. You won't want to pass on this bistro!
My husband and I had breakfast here yesterday. The food and service was fabulous! Will definitely be back.

The food here is absolutely amazing! You’ve got to try the Cochon Benedict—it’s incredible. Not only is the food top-notch, but the servers are incredibly kind, and the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. Plus, they have photos of pitbulls, which just makes the place even better. I highly recommend checking this spot out!

this was the first and last time i will ever dine at blue dog bistro. my cousins and i decided to get brunch as a party of six. foodwise, everything was decent: HOWEVER, it is what happened after that made the experience scummy. we decided to pay with one card, so when we gave the waitress the card, she came back with a receipt that only had the total on it and NOT the itemized receipt. we asked for the itemized receipt, but the waitress told us that the manager would come around and give it to us. sounds reasonable. this took about 15 minutes so we went ahead and signed the credit card receipt. we never got the itemized receipt until we were about to leave so we didnt realize that we were charged gratuity, which was fine. had we known we were charged grat, we would not have tipped the additional 20% on top of it. nowhere on the menus or anywhere in the restaurant did they mention gratuity. the waitress herself never mentioned the gratuity. when we called them back to rectify this error, they gave us the runaround. its been over a week and all we have gotten from both the manager AND owner were dismissive responses. in fact, once we got into contact with the owner, he threw an attitude and said “i dont work here very often. i am a business owner. i am very busy.” we have sent emails and made multiple calls and each time they said they would get back to us and haven’t. anyway, this was an entirely sour experience and these people only want your money.

Went to try out a new breakfast spot. Tea and coffee service bar provided many options - the best we have found in the area! Tea is served in a steeper with bottom pouring, which was a little hard to control on our first visit. Breakfasts are oversized! I had the biscuits and Gravy, and added two eggs. My wife had the Blue Dog Breakfast, which included 3 eggs, 3 pancakes, 3 strips of Bacon and a serving of pork hash (breakfast potatoes mixed with pulled pork covered in cheese). Biscuits and pancakes seemed a little under cooked, and seasoning on eggs were a little overwhelming. But overall a nice experience!

I love Blue Dog — I’ve NEVER had a bad experience with any of the food, coffee, drinks, or service! Always a joy to go. It’s a bit of a higher price point, but it’s completely worth it. They have vegan and gluten-free options (and other stuff that I can’t remember, but you get the picture — really inclusive options for other dietary needs). Even when they’re busy, the wait times are super reasonable. And the atmosphere is so cute!! The seats were comfy, and all the art and decorations are precious. Last time I went, we sat at the bar, and it was the same level of comfort! This place is just so detail-oriented and so perfect.
And can we get a round of applause for Allen??? Absolutely stellar service!! He was so personable, so cheerful, and so funny. Made my day! The already amazing experience was even better because of him!! Everyone is always so smiley and so nice as soon as you step in the door! Amazing service all the way around. I wish I could do 6 stars :)
