Blue Dog Bistro Gulfport

Love the Ocean Springs location. I was in Gulfport and was excited when I looked up a place for breakfast. Unfortunately my food was not great. Undercooked bacon, undercooked toast and super salty old fried potatoes. Service was great and I tipped accordingly. But I was sad to drop $41 for an average breakfast.

This little resturant is amazing! The food was very, very good. The chicken caprese was phenomenal. The gluten free pancakes were fluffy and light, very yummy. The resturant was spotless. My brother and I observed the server cleaning the inside door going out to the dining room. My 1st thought was it’s the back of the house. If they are cleaning the back of the house door, where no food touches, this place is well taken care of my people who care. We arrived about 15 minutes before closing. We were not rushed in any way. The server was friendly, knowledgeable about the gluten free concerns we had, and gave suggestions for our very picky child. She went out of her way to try to satisfy his quirks.

Had about 30 minute wait on a Sunday around 11:15am. French press coffee was great. Banana foster pancakes were extremely sweet. The dog ascetics were perfect for a dog mom like myself.

Stopped at Blue Dog for breakfast. Great place with good food and drinks. Hubby ordered the Blueberry Mojito and Blue Dog Breakfast with overeasy eggs. It came with pancakes that he really enjoyed. I ordered the Peach Bellini and the free Range Skillet with a biscuit. Great flavor. Our server was very attentive even though he was quite busy.

Food was delicious, service was great. It did get warm and muggy bc of the frequent entering/exiting.. but overall great experience!

Loved the Banana Fosters French Toast! Also liked the hash browns casserole. Grits and Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes were ok. The thick bacon was thin. Will definitely return when I visit.

Four of us came for an early lunch/late breakfast. No one came to even take a drink order after being seated for over 10 minutes. We had to wave down the hostess. Hostess with nose ring wasn’t very empathetic. She seemed annoyed at us that we weren’t happy. We asked if it was going to be a long wait for getting service but she would not answer that question. She offered to find our waitress or another waitress. We ended up leaving.

We were never waited on after being seated. After ten minutes we ask and we were treated very rudely. Never again!!!

Best breakfast in Gulfport! Outstanding service, attention to detail. I had the Blue Dog Skillet, which was 3 eggs over medium in a skillet, topped with potatoes and veggies. Fabulous flavor. I subbed toast for a biscuit, homemade fresh out of the oven. Yum! My wife had Blueberry Ricotta pancakes served with a blueberry syrup. They were delicious! And for tea lovers, they have a variety of loose- leaf teas. I enjoyed a very nice Darjeeling.

Always a fantastic pick when you are looking for sonethibg to eat in the area! Blue dog bistro is fresh, delicious, and the service is always amazing. I highly recommend this place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch!
