The Gulf Coast has many good seafood restaurants and Captain D's is no comparable to a top notch seafood restaurant. So if you want to go to a great seafood place, pass on Captain D's but plan on shelling out more.
Captain D's is a fast food, seafood restaurant. So, if you get a taste for some fish or other fare while you're on the road and in a hurry, it's worth the stop.
I ordered the fish and shrimp off the value menu and added a fish. It came to $8 and change for the two pieces of fish, 5 shrimp and fries.
The service was fast and friendly. I went through the drive through. Before driving away I checked my order. I only saw 1 1/2 pieces of fish. So I went inside with my box.
Entering the door I reopened the box and saw that the second piece was broken in half. No harm and I saw there was malt vinegar on the tables. I hadn't had fries with malt vinegar so it made it a special treat from the fast food norm.
It was all done well, clean, comfortable atmosphere and satisfied my taste for seafood.

This is one of my favorite take-out treats. I love the fried fish, the lobster rolls, the shrimp. I also enjoy the side items, especially the fried okra.
It was worth the money so I never haft to go back to awfu place and the fish was cold and the Mac and cheese tasted like they scrapped the bottom of the pan. Once was enough for me.

Worst lunch there and worst experience. I ordered flounder and shrimp meal at $5.99 I asked was they food cooked to order yes it was hot but the taste was horrible it was the taste of burnt oil I had received 7 french fries if the lady at the women remember I asked the price on the French fries because I was going to order some fries but I'm glad I didn't with the taste.shrimps was burnt I could've gave more stars if the food didn't taste like burnt oil.. I'm very disappointed
