Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We went for dinner and I ordered the dumplings and they were horrible and the waitress brought out biscuits that were so burnt the tops and bottom were black. I asked for some that wasn’t burnt and she rolled her eyes and said ok but these are fine

We love eating at Cracker Barrel, everything is always great.

This particular store was on a “boil water order”, so there wasn’t a lot of stuff available. We weren’t notified til we were already setting at the table ordering….. oh we don’t have that right now, we have no yea, no lemonade etc. VERY disappointed.

We came for breakfast which was a first for me. The food was good. It took about 15 mins for our server to reach out table, which was not preferable but allowed us time to decide what to order. The food was prompt, and the eggs were cooked to perfection! I would come again- for breakfast because I've visited in the past for lunch and dinner but was disappointed.

Update: We've been here twice since then and they destroyed my eggs on both trips. :( Once they were wayyyyyy under cooked, and the second time they were basically scrambled. I asked for them to be over medium (err on the well side if you need to)....... but instead they were gross. Won't be back.

The food in this particular restaurant was terrible. Chicken was old, like it had been cooked several times. French toast was burnt, and no tea or coffee was available .

There was a water boil notice during our visit and no coffee could be served. Our order was very slow and when it came up, the biscuits were burnt. The food wasn't very hot and due to this we will not be willing to return back to C.B. again.

VERY busy on Sunday! I had the biscuits and gravy; so good. God bless our waitress, she ran her tail off, service was great!

Pretty awful. First, my husband's side order of pancakes came out hard and cold. They had obviously been sitting out for quite awhile. The butter wouldn't even melt on them.

The server brought him more that were fresh, but those others shouldn't have been served to anyone in the first place. Funny enough, the gentleman at the table next to us had the same problem, when his pancakes came out about 5 minutes after ours. So, are they making a bunch of pancakes and just setting them to the side hoping to sell them before they get cold?

We were never given refills on our coffee or ice tea, despite asking.

However, the most unpleasant aspect of the whole visit was our server clearly was out smoking pot. Every time she walked past our table you could smell that she reeked of marijuana. It was disgusting.

Our visit to this particular Cracker Barrel was not enjoyable primarily because of Jenny, our waitress. Though the restaurant was not busy, this server was anything but attentive. My sister and I each ordered pancakes. This waitress brought one individualized bottle of warmed syrup. One small bottle for two orders? I asked for another syrup. This inept waitress brought a small bowl of cold syrup, instead of Cracker Barrel’s signature bottle for us to use. When I asked if we could get a second bottle of warmed syrup, Jenny abruptly told me only the bottles could be warmed. Obviously, she didn’t listen or pay attention to my request. I spoke a bit louder, trying to clarify we only received one bottle of syrup but two separate orders of pancakes. She ignored me, making my nephew and niece wait for their dishes to be served. When I stopped Jenny and asked her about their food, she gave me an incoherent reply as she walked away from our table. Needless to say, this was by far the worst Cracker Barrel experience I have encountered, and I have been to this chain of eateries all across the nation. Gulfport Cracker Barrel and Jenny, the waitress, you need to do better!
