Waited 15 min for chicken when I went it was all gone waited 20 more min had to wait for refills for a while so I had to get up and ask them for it grill cooked wasn't happy when I asked for a steak told me I had to wait till 4pm and I pay for dinner price

Its a Denny's off the interstate (I-10), so I didn't expect gourmet food, however, I would appreciate basic service. We visited at Sunday lunchtime and there was only two tables occupied. We waited for 10 to 15 minutes before the wait staff stopped chatting and decided to take our drink orders. Although we apparently upset the waitress, we ordered our food at the same time. I guess there's a rule, wait 15 minutes to get drinks ordered and then wait some more to order food. The food was ok, I didn't get sick:) we weren't checked on again until it was time to get a ticket. I was disappointed.
