Cool downtown blues joint. Cuban sandwich, Cuban tacos, and blackberry grilled cheese were all excellent. We happened to be there on Thursday night when they have a blues jam. It was fun! They do allow cigars. It wasn't heavy or obnoxious, didn't bother us. Just something to be aware of if you are sensitive to smoke.

Ordered the $5 house wine while out with friends. Had 4 throughout the whole night. Once the tab came i noticed each glass was charged as $10 each. An original $25 night turned into over $50 with tax. Paid my tab without question, guessing I read the menu wrong. Waited outside for a ride just to have the customers sitting by me leaving and coming to me to say that as soon as I left the bar, the bartender confessed to them that she was out of the $5 wine the whole night and was giving me the $10 glass, hoping I wouldn’t notice. Too bad, seemed like a nice bartender. She’s obviously done this more than once. Want to get scammed? Then this is the place for you.

This is my second time visiting and this restaurant/ lounge is the best in Gulfport. Food and drinks are delicious. Michelle, our waitress, was amazing and attentive! We had the steak tonight and far beats any chain restaurant. Fast service, delicious food and highly recommended!

The gem of downtown Gulfport. Intimate yet welcoming. Every staff member is so friendly and you’ll be treated like they’ve known you for years. The food is phenomenal (seriously the chef never misses) even when you come in for a super late dinner at 11pm, your food is still going to be fantastic and there’s not one menu item I’d complain about. Drinks are also fantastic (try the lemon drop martini, they always make them with the perfect combo of sweet and tart)
Live music nights? Perfect volume. Loud enough to enjoy the performer but not so loud that you can’t hear anyone talk like a lot of places.
If you haven’t been, go give it a try, it will become your new favorite.

Service is excellent food was fast food was hot. Food was Very tasty, garlic, butter and herb notes in the gravy and sauces. Wings were crunchy calamari was perfectly cooked and the burger slider special was very likable had a nice smoky grilled chard taste. The homemade kettle chips are very good. They have a very good garlic Parmesan Taste and they are made here in House.

I try to eat here at least once a month, the food is amazing and they accommodate my picky requests, lol duck bites are to die for, and Robin makes a drink like no other, she is quite the mixologist! I find it to be my escape from life, it's relaxing there! The environment is perfect. No matter what time of day it is the staff is phenomenal as well as the chefs on duty both day and night! Live music nights are great, sit on the couch and relax and enjoy the jams! A true unique gem in Gulfport

I had a fantastic lunch here with my sister. I like to try a few things when I plan to leave a review and they accommodated us wonderfully. Robin was very attentive and I loved her recommendations. She was kind and amenable, and I could tell she is very comfortable and experienced as a bartender and hostess. The atmosphere was cozy, with couches, pillows, and even a vintage piano livening the restaurant.
We had the duck bites for an appetizer and they were excellent, with tender meat and jalapeños stuffed in for an extra kick. All wrapped in crisp bacon and covered in a tangy orange glaze. The crunch from the bacon was the perfect contrast against the tender duck meat.
For my entree I had their blackberry grilled cheese. The flavors blended well, with the blackberry jam being surprisingly complementary with the savory grilled cheese. As a side it was accompanied by house made chips. They weren’t salty at all and instead were seasoned with garlic and parmesan.
For dessert we had beignets, they were soft and fluffy with a bit of crunch on the outer edges. A wonderful capstone to our first meal. I highly recommend Downton Bistro to anyone looking for a cozy atmosphere and thoughtfully made food.
