Mangiamo's is THE place to go for genuine Italian food cooked with meticulous excellence on the Gulf Coast. Nicely spaced table for date night conversation. Perfect timing and attentiveness from wait staff and management from the time you arrive. Appetizers, salads and dinner options are perfect and flavorful on point. Wait staff watches to make sure your food is not late or rushed during your date. The marinara sauce calls for lots of fresh bread to sop it up and they supply the rosemary fresh bread abundantly. Just a wonderful place!
Great experience at Mangiamo’s! I have tried a few things on their menu at various events, I have been at where they have donated items. I’ve always been impressed with their generosity when they participate in those events! Tonight we got to try the Thursday night giant pizza special. It really is giant! We enjoyed it! When I went and was impressed with the environment of the restaurant. I had never been in there before, but it’s a great set up! We will be back!!

Best marinara in the entire world. I could just eat it by itself with a spoon. Also, the pizza is 5⭐️ as well!

We ordered to-go meals through a delivery system and when it got to us it was missing the sauce. I called the restaurant directly and the manager was extremely polite and kind and had someone run it over to our rental in about 5 minutes. We aren't local but we like to visit and we will 100% eat here again next time we're in town. Our dinner was delicious & the staff would get 6 stars if I could figure out how to do it.

We have tried this place twice and definitely won’t go a third time. Our most recent disappointment we walked in and there was nobody at the host stand. The manager was sitting at the bar and could see us waiting but couldn’t care less which is probably why we were eventually seated in an empty restaurant at 6pm.
We ordered a bottle of wine only to be told they were on the last bottle which was already opened. Ordered the Italian wedding soup and carpaccio to start. The soup was room temperature at best and was one of the most bland soups I’ve ever had. Carpaccio came out and again flavorless and had what I hope was fried capers on it, they were dry and crunchy.
Wife went to use the restroom and had to go through the side of the restaurant that was closed and had no lights on and then down a dark hallway to the restroom. At that point we had enough and got the check so we could get out of there as fast as we could.

I was really disappointed coming here. Our server was nice and even the owner came up to us and checked on us (before the slew of problems came). I ordered the Ribeye steak and they cooked it as I ordered, but they don't have any steak sauce in the building... I wish I would have known that before ordering the steak.
The next big problem was when I ordered brussel sprouts as one of the sides with my entree. The way they cook their brussel sprouts is they deep fry them in a vat of oil and they don't season them at all. It's just plain, deep fried brussel sprouts with no seasoning, salt, or anything. That totally defeats the purpose of getting the brussel sprouts as a vegetable when they deep fry it in vegetable oil.
The spinach and artichoke dip was a bit bland, but the deep fried bread served with it was alright. We also bought a crab cake appetizer... almost $18 for one single crab cake, and it didn't even taste that great.
Coming here was a real letdown and a disappointment.

It's not as expensive as other restaurants in the area (although still pricey). But you definitely get food worthy of the price. The portion sizes and quality more than make up for the cost. We both had to get a togo box and left full. My steak was so tender and juicy and my husband's pork chop was melt in your mouth. The Alfredo pasta we got as a side was phenomenal! Left us wanting more (if we could hold more that is). Our server was also super sweet. Over all a wonderful experience.

Tonight we checked out a new Italian spot in Gulfport, Mississippi. It was a pleasant surprise. From the moment we walked in, the hostess greeted us with a warm smile and quickly seated us at a cozy window table. Service was on point: our server was attentive, and we never had to ask for drink refills. The food? Delicious and reasonably priced. It hit the spot without hitting the wallet. If you're craving Italian and looking for a budget-friendly option, this place is definitely worth a visit.
The first time eating at the restaurant we went for our wedding anniversary celebration. The entire experience was wonderful. Right off the head chef came to our table and introduced himself. A waitress was wonderful always checking to make sure we were OK or if we needed anything else. The food was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We will be going back.
We really were looking forward to finding an Italian restaurant around here, but this one failed miserably. The place was mostly empty for a Saturday evening, but once we got seated it was at least 15 minutes before anyone stopped at our table. Short on staff?, don't know. Our server took our drink and dinner orders together ( we weren't sure when she'd get back) and that was fine - the timing on it was fine - though we noticed the party of 8 next to us getting their food in batches. I was looking forward to the PEI mussels, but the server did not offer the two different sauces and mine came out with a very spicy marinara. Too spicy to taste anything but red pepper. I sent that back and ordered the garlic broth version, but it was super salty - so ended up just removing all the mussels and eating my side order of pasta instead. Husband's steak was okay, but the fried shrimp was overbreaded, so he took those apart. Needless to say we were not going to venture an order of dessert. Add to that the dining room had a distinct odor to it... which turned out to be a plug-in for masking odors...of what I don't know. There was also a wall mounted A/C unit behind a black curtain in the dining room blowing air into the room????... A problem with the central A/C, don't know... Altogether, a 'been there tried it ' place for sure.

The risotto was inedible period. And the chicken piccata was inedible as well. The sauce was pasta water and olive oil and tasteless. Will not go back.

Pick up order. Dry, crumbly bread with odd seasoning combination. Couldn't eat it, and I love bread. Lasagna was also very disappointing, and I can do with Stouffers if I'm hungry enough. Sorry - but no saving grace.
