Melissa's Bakery has to be one of the most unprofessional bakeries on The Coast. We picked up an almond flavored cake with buttercream icing yesterday for my birthday. Upon cutting the cake, it was extremely dry and ice cream did not even help to moisten it. Every single person who tried this cake mentioned how dry it was. The crust was also overcooked to the point that it was hard to even cut. We reached out to the bakery and we were told to bring the cake in... Instead of offering to remake the cake or refund the cake, the employee brought the cake to the back of the store, had other employees taste the cake, gave the cake back to us, and then argued that they did not think it was dry. There is no telling what else they did to the cake while it was in the back, but that is extremely unsanitary and unprofessional to taste something before giving it back to the customer. The cake is now in the trash while the bakery's pockets are full with the money they refused to refund.

My husband and daughter ordered my birthday cake from Melissa's Bakery. It was amazing! The cake was moist and the buttercream frosting wasn't overly sweet, which was great. I smiled so big when I saw the Kansas license plate KAZ 2Y5 from my favorite TV show Supernatural. Thank you, Melissa, for making my birthday extra special. My husband also bought a loaf of sourdough bread for me. I can't wait to try it because it smells delicious! I'm definitely going to have to visit the bakery soon so that I can buy some sweet treats.

This was my first time ordering a cake at this bakery. People was telling me not to go here because she has lost her touch I should’ve listened to those people, but I wanted to give her a try and this is what I got.You get what you pay for. Whenever you order something be very clear of what you want make sure to give them lots of details of how you want your cake to look like and taste My mistake was saying I want a butterfly and flower ice cream cake. Yup I got that alright , It look like Walmart did this. I could’ve done this at my house what a waste of 56$ there was also a smudge, but she said since it’s a ice cream cake, they had to work extremely fast so in her eyes, this wasn’t a smudge she will know she’s the expert, right yup, that was my experience with Melissa‘s bakery

Wonderful bakery with gluten-free options. We bought Death by Chocolate cupcake, Lemon cream cheese cupcake, gluten-free salted caramel cupcake & some other items. Everything was delicious! We will definitely buy here again and order cakes to be made for birthdays!

Traveling through Mississippi was craving the Mississippi Mud Cake, and Google suggested this place as the best spot to try it. But sadly, they didn’t have the Mississippi Mud Cake. However, they did have an alternative Mississippi Mud Cheesecake, and it was absolutely heavenly! The cheesecake was so creamy and rich, and the chocolate graham cracker layer on bottom was simply divine. I couldn’t resist grabbing a few other treats too, like the confetti cupcake, turtle brownie, and decorative cookie. The cupcake was a bit too thick for my liking, but the icing was really good. The turtle brownie was the star of the show, though. It was so decadent and chocolatey. The cookie wasn’t too sweet, and it paired perfectly with the icing. I could’ve easily gone for more, but I had to stop at these four. If I ever find myself in that situation again, I’m definitely going to have to try a few more things.

Everything I’ve tried here is underwhelming and wayyyy too sweet. On top of that they are ridiculously overpriced and the customer service is horrible. I definitely do not recommend

Gluten free king cake (blueberry and cream cheese filled) was the best I've ever had in my life. Very moist unlike other king cake I've had from famous NOLA area stores.
