Moved from pa in Feb didn't get to try wood's till today 8/10/25 Right from walking in we had a great vibe was seated quickly our waitress Nicole from the beginning was awesome she let us have time knowing it was our 1st time drinks were back to the table immediately she helped us with choosing Carla's mango margarita was delicious then our food come out fifteen minutes and was cooked to perfection the kitchen could be seen from our table and I mean the place was packed those cooks know what they are doing and it was nice seeing them high fiving each other because they knew they where rocking it out Nicole was the best waitress we have ever seen and we let her know that Thank you wood's gulfport for a GREAT LUNCH We will be back

Let me lead with I'm not a burger person, my family loved the burgers. I ordered the prime rib sandwich. It was very bland. Several of the burgers that were ordered were burned. The server was preoccupied, we had to flag her down. She would come over to the table take care of one person never look up and run off again until flagged down again. It was cramped and very loud, which we attribute to a Friday night.

We visited in a large group. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. We received fast friendly service even though we were a large group. We were in, fed, and back out within an hour, which is great because two people in our group needed to be back at work.

We stopped in for a late lunch after googling best lunch spots in Gulfport, MS and Woody’s Roadside came up. It did not disappoint! The boys each ordered off of the kids’ menu which was very reasonably priced and came with a drink, side, and cookies. Both boys ate all of their food so that is a win right there for any mom. My husband and I shared the seafood nachos. Wow! It’s like a flavor bomb went off in my mouth. It was so good! The portion size was so big - we couldn’t even finish it (as hard as I tried lol). The service is super friendly and it’s a very family friendly environment. We would definitely come back to try more things off of the menu.

Relaxing atmosphere. Kid friendly. Ample parking. I have eaten here many times. I am generally very impressed with the service and the food. I normally order the blackened red fish with fried grits cake and it is amazing. This visit, I left disappointed as I went for the blackened red fish. Mississippi passed a new law requiring restaurants to identify whether they are serving local seafood or not. I was absolutely astonished to learn that none of their seafood was local. Total disappointment because the fish and shrimp dishes are worth recommending. This visit I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was quite nice. I would rate higher if the Seafood was locally procured. Still worth the visit. Overall, 8 put of 10!
