Walked into this place after reading good reviews for the food, and as I walked in the waitress threw her head back and audibly sighed. Then did it once more and yelled “yall can sit anywhere you like.” Inside smelled funny and we could tell this was about to be a bad experience because of her terrible attitude. Replace her and we would be willing to try again.

Great tasting Mediterranean! For lunch combo, I got their Beef Kafta kabob, a usual favorite for me at other places. It was freshly cooked, not reheated. Great authentic taste and tender to cut with your fork. The grilled veggies side was also fresh and seasoned perfectly. Salad was also great, fresh romaine greens, cucumber, onion with a light simple dressing on it. Tried the hummus and it's unique tasting and not like the usual store bought stuff. Special thanks to Zoey for speedy and extra great service. Please try for lunch!

We got a shawarma plate, shawarma sandwich, hummus, and baba ghanouj. The meat on the shawarma plate was okay, but the rice was super bland. The sandwich was gross, the bread was thick, the sauce inside wasn’t good, something about the texture of the whole thing was off. I took one bite and was done. The hummus and baba ghanouj were both really thin, almost watery, and not good. We love Petra Cafe and were hoping this would be similar in quality but closer to home. Very disappointed.

Update: we have been back to Al Shish Kabob many times since Easter weekend. It has become one of our favorite go-tos. The Shish Tawook is my favorite!! I get the grilled veggies instead of rice. The salad is delicious as well!!
Today is Good Friday. We picked up Mediterranean food to eat while watching The Passion of the Christ. To our surprise, the owner was paying for everyone’s food today for Good Friday.
