The shrimp poboy is delicious! I tried to identify the seasoning with each bite, but was unsuccessful. I will definitely try again.

Traveling through Hattiesburg and found your place on the internet! Glad we stopped! Very good flavorful gumbo, catfish po-boy, and fried shrimp platter. We will be back!

Just driving through and needing to find a good quick place to eat when we came across this gem. Ordered the shrimp po boy with drinks and a small pecan pie, and can hands down say the seasoning and way everything was toasted and cooked was mouth watering delicious! Had a nice conversation with the gentleman behind the counter who explained some history on gumbo and let us try a sample. Would recommend both the gumbo and the po boy! Shout out to the team this was an all around great experience!

Check this place out! I found it by accident after the game tonight and I recommend it 10/10! I had the Red Beans and Rice—excellent!

A $14.50 poboy and it's like this?? Where's the rest of it? Barely any meat and the size wasn't on the menu. After a drink and tax $19.25 to walk away with a poboy that has less meat on it than an average burger?? I see where you're making headway in your margins and its over your product and that's the worst mistake. MS people will eat in a shack if the food is good and worth the price. I don't need a $3 plastic cup I need the meat that should've been on this $14 sandwich.

A bit pricey for what it is but the food was tasty. A had the blackened shrimp po-boy and Cajun fries. My wife had the chicken thigh plate with the potato salad. My blackened shrimp were delicious. Fries were a little undercooked but the Cajun seasoning was good. The potato salad was tasty, had a very different flavor than most potato salads. Chicken was good and tender, seasoned well. Think it’s weird at the price point that it didn’t include any sauce, that would have been an additional charge.

Art of Roux is one of our favorite spots. When my son was old enough this was the first restaurant we took him out to as a baby lol. I've tried multiple items from the menu and all have been great. Usually I go for the fancy burger and fries, and get some extra fancy sauce to dip the fries in!!! Food quality is great, service is awesome, atmosphere is inviting!

Food was good, I had the catfish po boy with red beans and rice, bread toasted just right, all the condiments were fresh and the fish was fried hard. Definitely enjoyed the Po Boy Amber, it was nice with that sand which, the only thing I can say against the meal was the oil may have been old because the fish had a sour taste to it, and the red beans and rice had good texture and flavor but also had a sour taste, not sure of they use veggie stock to make their beans but it tasted like there was either too much broth or stock. Overall it’s a nice place to sit inside or outside and eat, reasonable prices for the portions given as well

Very friendly staff, clean inside and incredible food. My wife and I have passed by more times than I can count and on a whim we decided to give it a try - I’m glad we did. Definitely recommend it and will absolutely be back.

Small Cafe where anyone with social anxiety can feel comfortable. A place where not too many people can fit inside. I was very impressed with the food. Full of flavor!!!

Great place. The food is better than most Louisiana style restaurants in Hattiesburg.
