My first visit to Blu Jazz was a refreshing experience. The food was absolutely fantastic and the live music kept a quaint atmosphere. The service was wonderful, and everyone was very attentive and welcoming. We need more places like this in the Pine Belt!
We traveled one hundred miles to get there and it was well worth it. The food was great. This is not a fast food restaurant but it is worth the wait

The food was so delicious! Although the service was a bit slow, the gumbo and blackened redfish were absolutely amazing. The greens and cornbread could use some improvement. Just relax and enjoy the experience, there's no rush, you'll be here for quite some time.

Blu Jazz Cafe might not be the largest restaurant, but it definitely makes up for it with great food, a solid drink selection, and a relaxed, down-to-earth atmosphere. My friends and I visited this spot twice during our trip, and both experiences were consistently enjoyable it’s clear the team here takes pride in what they do.
On our first visit, I ordered the catfish with sweet potato fries and paired it with a top-shelf margarita. The catfish was perfectly seasoned and fried to a crisp golden finish, and the sweet potato fries were hot, flavorful, and cooked just right. The margarita was well-balanced and smooth one of the better ones I’ve had in a while.
On our second visit, I went with the ribeye steak and sweet potato fries, along with another top-shelf margarita. The steak was tender, juicy, and cooked exactly to order, with great flavor throughout. The consistency between visits says a lot this place delivers every time.
The manager and waitstaff deserve special mention they were all extremely nice, professional, and genuinely engaging. They checked in regularly without being intrusive and made us feel completely welcome.
Overall, Blu Jazz Cafe has a great vibe and offers good food, drinks, and service all around. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s definitely worth a visit.

My husband and I had dinner here after a show at the Saenger and we had an amazing first experience! We loved the aesthetics of the place. Very intimate vibe in an industrial chic setting. From the moment we walked in the entire staff was very friendly & attentive. The manager (possibly the owner) made sure to visit our table and check in on us. Prices were very reasonable. We each had the stuffed ribeye which were both cooked to perfection but the star of the experience for us were their crab cakes. They were hands down the BEST I have ever had. We can’t wait to visit again! 👩🍳🤌
Came for lunch. Wonderful jazz-like atmosphere.Staff was welcoming and on point. Food tasted amazing and had nice portion sizes. Catfish was perfectly seasoned.

Who do you contact to get paid to say nice things about this place!? The chicken was not fresh it was frozen, maybe even precooked and warmed up. Actually over warmed up tough and nasty. Would not recommend this place at all!! On the other hand the service was great, absolutely incredible service and the sweet tea was the great. The music was loud and annoying though. Especially when you factor in other guest talking, staff and then the music on top of all that; yea it was a lot!!

A friend of mine and I were in Hattiesburg for a meeting and stopped by this place for a late lunch. The place is beautiful and the entire diverse staff was lovely. It wasn’t busy, and we were surprised because it seems to be a great place. Prices are really good. We both loved our food. She got the Front Street Chicken and I got the Chicken and Waffles (turned pancake). They gave us a brownie for dessert and it was so warm and rich. It was delicious the next morning with coffee. Highly recommend this space. Wish we lived closer as we would frequent.

First time eating there last night. Catfish and shrimp were delicious !!!! The collard greens were perfect. I’ll def be visiting again
Great service, great food and decent prices, but when they are busy it's too loud to have conversation.. Other complaint is no designated ladies room so it's often stinky.

The food was great. Got crab cakes and the amount of crab that was in it was great! But it had a creole sauce on it that tasted more like ravioli sauce. It was good but not what I would consider creole. So i took a star off cause I was hoping for real cajun food. The stuffed pork chop was amazing. 10/10 would recommend getting it. But my kid's tenders were dry and so was my husband's fish. I expect better for those prices. So I took a star off for that. I gave 3 stars but I would go again just for those pork chops!
