Wow!! Where to start. The catfish was absolutely delicious, fresh fried okra and fries! I had a complimentary bowl of the best apple pie that could rival my grandmother's!! I know they have got to give Bailey a raise! The best service you could ask for!!

I've enjoyed it. Service is acceptable. food is tasty, and the dim lit jazz atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable.

Excellent food with great service ice in a place with a great atmosphere (including chill-out live music). We loved it!

Very intimate. Median priced. Food good. With the music and other diners the waitress was hard to hear.

Wanted to check this spot out and listen to the music. It was okay. The drinks were good and strong. The sweet potato fries were good. But the acoustics were horrendous, I couldn't hear my date that sat across the table from me.

This place has got to be the worse. The owner even more worse. For him to be military: the establishment is not very military friendly “AT ALL”. You want to charge someone a gwop of money, but don’t want toCater to black people and military. This place is horrible. They cater to rich and wealthy white people. That’s why people hate booking events with this man, and any of his restaurants. He’s an uncleTom ! Uncle Ruckus ! They want you to do what they want you to do; for your event; whileNot wanting toCater to the people paying for their service! If I had to rate this place it wouldBe a negative -1000 ‼️‼️‼️ I will never spend my money with them ! I would recommend “No One” spend their money there : especially if you’re black! Black people have a hard enough time having somewhere nice to eat, and this is definitely not the place‼️‼️ I am not the only one ! Trust and Believe ! It really should be shutdown !! I’m actually here for it ! Sorry not sorry !!

We had 6 people in our party on 1/19/2024 @ 7:30 pm. My husband & I live here but the other 4 were visiting from Ohio. We just hate to try a place & take visitors & it be a bad experience & be costly.I looked at the reviews before we made reservations & they were good. Are the bad reviews removed from the website? We were told that they had entertainment but they said they would not have any until February. We had 3 people order the catfish. 2 plates were OK. The other person got 2 pieces that were cold & look like they had been laying out a while. The fries were cold. The shrimp & grits were very good according to the lady that order that dish. Another person got the Redfish & they said it was also good.We had some appetizers & a bottle of wine. Our bill was between around $180.The Shearers202 Woodshire DrHattiesburg, MS 39402

Service was above and beyond our waitress was on point. The food was okay nothing outstanding. The steak was a bit salty and too much pepper it lacked other seasonings. Brunch was priced fair. Cute establishment.

I have to give this restaurant 5 stars and here’s why.My wife and I had a spur moment idea to go out to eat and I recommend this place. The only reason why she wanted to go is because they had cheesecake on the menu. When we arrived we were greeted by warm and friendly staff. Both the greeter and the trainee were both awesome. So awesome that when my wife heard there was no cheese cake left they called in a favor from another restaurant and had a slice of cheesecake delivered just for my wife… **who does that**.And to top it off the steak was cooked to perfection. It was so tender my wife was able to cut it with a butter knife. And the cheese cake was so good, my wife literally wanted to cry. Everything about the whole night was amazing. The staff, the music, the atmosphere.Absolutely this place deserves 5 stars.

The atmosphere was really nice but the server seemed really nervous and did not give great service, the food was really good but we were with another couple and the server charged both tickets to our card (she said it didn’t go through the first time), we got nothing taken off the inconvenience (as it took a while for her to figure out what she did wrong) the manager did come out to assist our server and gave us a receipt showing the second charge was reversed. Overall the food is great but need better servers and also the kitchen is really slow for what looked to be a mildly busy night.

It's probably one of the best places I've eaten. I would post a pic of the food, but I couldn't resist and dug in as soon as it came out. Had to try a bit of mix of stuff. First, the Cajun samper: jambalaya, gumbo, red beans and rice. Very great. Honestly, it's difficult to top these for me as they're my absolute favorite, but they did. I also got the crab cakes, which are pretty solid; sometimes they can be really strong with the flavor of the herbs in them, but these were balanced and mild, perfectly crisp. Finally, I got the redfish grits on a whim, but it may be one of the best things I've ever had. Blackened, but not overly so, steak like in taste. Cheese grits that came with it were perfect. All of it is very rich, so I don't recommend getting as much as I did unless you're looking to take a blissful a nap after.

Just a few days ago, multiple employees conspired to have a man unlawfully removed from the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. They lied to the police, claiming that the man was "disturbing the business," when there is ample video evidence proving they lied. The officers who responded took the employees at their word and handcuffed the man and stuck him into the back of a police car for approximately half an hour. The officers threatened that if he didn't leave the proximity of the restaurant, he would be arrested. Neither the employees nor the police had any lawful authority to make such threats as he was on public property, he was exceedingly calm, he was very polite to any and all who saw and interacted with him, and he wasn't breaking any law whatsoever. The entire interaction is on video on YouTube.I'm left wondering how honest the "unexpected renovations" actually are. I'm gonna guess they had been planning these renovations for some time and since they started reaping negative attention for their disgusting behavior, they thought they'd do the renovations now in the hopes that the negative attention would die down.
