From the moment I stepped into Brass Hat, tucked inside Hotel Indigo in Hattiesburg, I knew I was in for a treat. The vibe is sleek, modern, and totally welcoming—a perfect date night or vibe‑check spot with friends. The décor nods to Hattiesburg’s railroad roots in a sophisticated and clever way
Drinks: Exceptional. Hand‑crafted cocktails that actually feel handcrafted—not like a syrupy afterthought. Each one had personality, balance, and flair. The bartender nailed it
Shareables & Plates: The menu is chef‑driven and smartly curated: interesting shareables, solid entrees, and standout desserts like that brownie skillet with ice cream—talk about comfort food with class.
Service: Consistent shoutouts from guests about attentive, non‑intrusive service. You feel taken care of without being rushed. The team checks in regularly and makes you feel like a VIP.
Atmosphere: Brass Hat strikes the rare balance of hotel lounge coolness and actual neighborhood energy. Locals and hotel guests mix effortlessly—no awkward tourist vibes. Definitely a spot where you could become a regular.
Overall: A standout in Midtown Hattiesburg. Whether it’s drinks, food, or service you’re after, Brass Hat delivers with style and substance. I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.
Highly recommend for anyone staying at Hotel Indigo—or just looking for a polished but relaxed evening out in town.

This is a great restaurant and bar for hotel guests and locals. New food and drink menu.
This is a great little place to stop in for a drink or two. I was in town for the evening and stopped in bc I was staying at the attached hotel. My bartender was Matt who was amazing and super friendly. He made some of the best drinks I’ve had in quite a while. He explained that they will make most of their syrups and do not use purées in things like their strawberry margaritas, they mash up fresh strawberries. I had the opportunity to try the strawberry margarita and it was delicious, not super sweet and the strawberries were delicious. Matt also made me his creations the bumboozle which is made with bumboo rum, lime juice and honey and it was fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back next time I visit!

Vastly overpriced. Not worth it.
I woke up super early to dine in at the Brass Hat and safe to say I was severely disappointed. The food was okay and the service was excellent, however, the amount of fruit flies coming from the bar area was absolutely disgusting...I couldn't even enjoy my meal without swatting fruit flies away and then asking to move tables...Rhiannon, my waitress, was the only good experience I had there.

This place is a nice bar with some tapas but can be filling. Definitely a good chill bar stop in the burg and has seasonal cocktails that almost never miss. My wife and I love to go here just for a little night out and get a cocktail and bite to eat. Not just another hotel bar. Also, love the theme and how it looks like the interior of a train car. Not a place I would take family tho.

Ordered Pork Street Tacos and Pork Sliders only to find out they had no pork. Service was extremely slow and spotty. They brought food out one or two at a time instead of bringing the food for the entire table at once.
I stayed at the Hotel Indigo and it was easy to eat at the attached restaurant but I was worried about the negative reviews. The meal and service were both amazing! I got the Pimento Cheese BLT and added the truffle sauce to the curly fries. Excellent ambiance and the food was delicious! Don’t let old reviews scare you off, this place is so good!
Overnighted at the hotel and made it for a late(ish) dinner. "A proper burger" was enjoyed by both me and my traveling companion! With really good curly fries!

In Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Great service and recommendation by Jelly J (shrimp poboy) at the Brass Hat.

The curly fries were delicious and well seasoned. The shrimp on the Po’Boy was a little too salty and the sandwich could’ve used some type of creamy sauce or even tartar sauce. I also ordered the apple cider mimosa which was 13 dollars which isn’t a great price for the amount that was poured. The size was probably around a 3/4 cup you don’t get much for the price you pay. The taste was similar to apple cider as described. The customer service was great and very sweet.
