One meal was incorrect, although our server did correct it. My wife’s salad came out after we were nearly done eating. All of the seafood on my platter was dried out as if it had been under a heat lamp for hours and the fish wasn’t local. Tasted as if it was raised in a ditch somewhere. Then the “automatic 18% gratuity” is a deal breaker especially when it is not publicly posted. But it’s sad because the server lost out on a way better tip just because of that. Chesterfields has definitely went down hill for some reason and we will not be returning anytime soon.

We had the crab bread as an appetizer, it's delicious! I had the Nola Bowl, very flavorful and good; only suggestion I would make is out less of the butter on there. Other than that...it was very good!

Since my previous review a LOT has changed at Chesterfield's! This was my second visit to their new location so it had been decades since my last visit and this second visit was many years after I last ate here in 2019. I have to say I still prefer their old location better which is largely more for nostalgia's sake. The service was less than I had come to expect from the old location so that could certainly use some improvement and it seemed to have gotten even worse for my second visit to the new spot. The food has declined from my past first visit to this new location sadly. The open faced prime rib sandwich served with a side of au jus was my go to staple here for many years but they no longer have that on the menu sadly. The only other entrée I ever ordered here was one of the Gulf fish specials which they still had some of those at least but not as good a choice as they used to have. For my second visit the menu was so uninspiring to me I just got a cheeseburger and it was fortunately a decently good cheeseburger. For Hattiesburg this is probably still one of the better places to eat. They have continued doing a nice tray of their dessert selections setting out on display to really try and tempt your soul with lust for their sweet treats. I really think they need to up their game again and go back to what they used to be!
Overall if you're in the area this is probably a good choice for the food or their bar which will be better than any of the many nearby chains like Applebee's but not quite as good as Crescent City Grill.

Menu says draft beer 22oz . But in reality it’s in a 12 ounce glass . I ordered a blue moon draft that if it was 22oz would have been $8 . Wow I felt violated. Then seeing the price I decided to go with the $3.50 bottle beer of ultra. I kept the glass from the draft and poured my 12 oz bottle in the glass . Confirmed it’s a 12 ounce glass that they will charge you a 22 oz price for . Be aware of what your getting at this place. Not happy about my experience.

I ordered the blackened chicken alfredo with broccoli. When I got there, I waited 10 minutes to even get my food. Upon receiving it, the noodles were overcooked and it looked as if my meal had just been heated up. The sauce wasn’t creamy, it was clumpy, and the broccoli literally had no flavor. I will never order from them again, considering I paid $25 dollars from some pasta a 2 year old could’ve made. Don’t waste your time here.
We had a party of 25 and we received great service, very friendly and johnny on the spot. Food was delicious. I highly recommend.

Our recent visit to Chesterfields was an exceptional experience. The food was outstanding and served promptly. The staff demonstrated genuine attentiveness, frequently checking in to ensure our satisfaction. The owner personally visited our table, displaying a high level of professionalism and courtesy, going above and beyond to accommodate our needs. I highly recommend Chesterfields for an enjoyable night out, holiday celebrations, family gatherings, or simply a quality meal.
Fantastic experience! I’m in town from Atlanta for USM graduation and went out of my way to experience only local restaurants. We were a party of five, and all had some combination of seafood offerings. Everyone’s food was hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Some of the best catfish, hush puppies, and cole slaw we’ve ever had. This was absolutely the perfect experience we were seeking to celebrate graduation. 10/10 recommend!

Two stars because of the manager on duty. I went inside and had the best dining experience. I spent a hefty amount, but that’s not the problem. The problem is I didn’t receive some food on my seafood platter that I had place for an to go order. The manager asked me did I not check my order before leaving. For one I’m not employed at chesterfields, secondly that’s what the cook is for, to ensure the order is correct. I could’ve done without her smart mouth, all I wanted was for her to make sure I get my item next time I return. All help isn’t good help, and not everyone should be a manager. Now the sweet waitress I had made everything worth it.
