The food was great, but a little pricey for what it is. They have a pretty decent menu if you like chicken, shrimp, fish, or crab claws. That pretty much sums up the menu.
I had the Philly steak sandwich and the steak was terrific. I highly recommend it.
The only reason I give it 3 stars is because the lack of options on the menu, if you donât care for the above proteins.

I visited this restaurant today because someone recommended it. I waited 20 minutes for my order only to receive an undercooked hamburger steak with a small portion of mashed potatoes and Lima beans...The price was too high for what was served...Nice atmosphere...

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Chesterfield was so unacceptable, it needs to be shared.
My friend was excited to bring a group of ladies to Chesterfield for her birthday brunch, but the celebration quickly turned into a deeply unpleasant experience, thanks to the incredibly rude and unprofessional behavior of the manager, Joshua.
When we arrived, my friend asked if we could be seated. Joshua refused, stating we had to wait for our full party to arrive. Fair enoughâat that moment, only 6 of 8 guests were there. But just a few moments later, she updated him that it was now 6 of 6 (as two guests couldnât make it) and asked again if we could be seated. His response? He yelled at her, saying âyou need to listen to me,â loud enough for other patrons to turn and stare.
My friend calmly responded that she didnât appreciate being spoken to in that way, especially as she was just trying to enjoy her birthday weekend. Instead of apologizing or de-escalating, Joshua continued to be aggressive and dismissive, telling us we could just âgo somewhere elseâ and nastily adding, âHave a good day.â
We were shocked. His tone and behavior were entirely out of line for anyone in hospitalityâlet alone someone in a management role. Because of his attitude, we chose to leave, taking our business (and birthday dollars) elsewhere. They not only lost our brunch check but also a gift card I had planned to purchase for my mom.
Thankfully, we ended up down the street at Vicious Biscuit, where the service was welcoming, the staff was friendly, and the food was amazingâthe way hospitality should be.
We will never return to Chesterfield, and I wouldnât recommend it to anyone. If youâre looking for a place that values its guests, treats people with respect, and understands customer service, go literally anywhere else.

THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER IN MY LIFE THE HOSTESS/ MANAGER WHY DOES HE EVEN HAVE A JOB SIMPLY RUDE VERY MOUTHY VERY NASTY ATTITUDE. THE WAITER YOU DID NOT EVEN DO ANYTHING I EVEN ASK FOR NO REFILLS ON DRINKS NO NAPKINS THEN TRIED TO SCAM MY FAMILY OUT OF A TIP AND YOU DID NOTHING BUT MADE THE EXPERIENCE A LIVING HELL. RUDE, NASTY, NEED BETTER STAFF TODAY WAS AWEFUL. I WILL NEVER EVER BE BACK. NASTY AND RUDE ATTITUDES. IF YOU DONT LIKE YOUR JOB OR YOU CAN NOT WORK UNDER STRESS FIND SOMETIME ELSE DONT SCAM PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR MONEY BY SAYING ITS A TIP THAT WAS WAYYYYYYYYYY TOOOOOOOOOOO MUCHHHHHHHH. BILL WAS $79 TIP $25 THAT IS NOT 18% AT ALL TRIED TO GET OVER ON MY FAMILY WITH A $112 BILL THEN WANTED ANOTHER TIP AFTER ADDING HIS OWN TIP SERIOUSLY NEVER AGAIN WITH YOU BAD SERVICE. SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY A 0/10 NEVER RECOMMEND. THIS SPOT IS NOT GOOD ON WEEKENDS SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. MAYBE WEEKDAYS AND THATS A HARD MAYBE.

Nicholas took charge and hustled several waiting customers to tables. Got drink orders and was warm and friendly the whole time. Need more like him in this business. Excellent.

The food was great. Our wait was short and our service was good. However, our first impression was about 5 signs that told me how I could dine and this restaurant. If I hadn't been with a group for a birthday party, I probably would have left. Rules for late night eating, party sizes, tipping and check splitting. Definitely didn't feel like the kind of place that the customer is welcomed and served with a smile. It felt more like they dane to serve you and they're doing you. Afacor taking your money. Our actual server was kind, efficient, and patient with our group of 12.

WHY SO MUCH SALT? WAY TOO MUCH. YOUR CHEFS SHOULD LET THE FOOD SPEAK FOR ITSELF! SALT IS TO BEING OUT FLAVOR, NOT BE THE FLAVOR! MY HUSBAND WANTED TO GO BACK THIS WEEK AND I SAID NO, I WAS SWOLLEN FOR THREE DAYS AFTER WE ATE THERE LAST WEEK.

Came in on 8/17/25 for brunch. Got charged for each coffee and wasnât told until after the check was brought. Ordered the biscuits and gravy plate and didnât get all of our food with the order. If youâre going to charge 3.29 per coffee that gets brought to the table, you should let the table know beforehand. If youâre not going to bring out all the food thatâs ordered, you should not be charging 18% added gratuity. Also had to ask for refills. Food tasted great but the service provided ruined the experience.

I donât get to come to Hattiesburg very often.. hands down all of the food and service was on point.. started off with some buffalo tenders.. Fried Pecan pie.. Cajun chicken Alfredo and a baked potato with sweet tea.. I will most definitely be back.. posted a couple of pictures.. did not get the picture of the buffalo tenders.. I highly recommend them.. Nick was our server and he did not disappoint..
