This is the kind of place that I'd consider a real "find" if I came across it in New Orleans or Atlanta. Fortunately, it's here in my hometown, so I can eat at this gem every week or so.

Would frequent if I was a local. Note: Cash only. ATM at front door if needed. That and the deal on lunch made my day. ?

First time I had eaten there. It's a very 1950's to say late 70's type vibe. So is the food and absolutely amazing! Reminds me of the dinners we use to go to on Sundays in the 70's. Very classic menue. The staff and owner were so very friendly. Had a conversation with us like we were old friends or family. Would recommend this place to anyone. And I recommend anything on the menue. Everything we tried was amazing.Kid-friendliness: They had a good kids menue. Added it kids into the conversation while taking to us and the waitress was so kind to us all but was very patient when taking kids orders.

We’ve wanted to eat there for years. Finally got the opportunity when we passed thru H’burg this past weekend. I had the cheeseburger with the curly fries and my wife had the open face roast beef sandwich with fries. We also shared a chili dog. The burger and sandwich were both good. The fries were great. I didn’t care too much for the chili on the dog. Don’t think I’d try it again. Service was really good. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The cafe has been in business since 1923 and the building has a lot of character.
