Del Sol Mexican Restaurant

Food was cold and undercooked. Chili rellano was almost raw still. Beans and rice were bland. Enchilada sauce looked and tasted like tomato soup. NOT GOOD!!

I have to agree with some other reviewers, the atmosphere and food were very nice, no complaints. But the service was ok at best. There were several employees just sitting around taking to each other. Our waiter brought our drinks and never came back, we watched him at the counter talking and talking to another staff member, another employee noticed and he came and took our order. We had to flag staff down basically for our refills ect. But the ones who did interact were very friendly

I got lunch from Del Sol and there was a big mosquito cooked into the food. I called them and the stated EAT AROUND IT. And hungup!! But that’s ok I called the Health Department food safety and sent them pictures.

banned for life as a second time customer over cheese dip ; let me explain.
i came and ordered a dish with pro-dominate cheese in the dish.
i take responsibility for not considering how much was actually added.
when i got the food, it was so gewey with cheese, it resembled cat food.
i don’t complain, i simply asked if they could make the dish without cheese.
if the waiter had said no, i would’ve been okay with that, but he agreed and brought the dish out.
the catch was the order still came with cheese so it was supposed to be given on the side.
i told him no thank you. i said since i have cheese already, ill use it. that he didn’t have to waste cheese but since it was coming with the order, see if i didn’t have to pay for an extra cheese I wouldn’t use.
he said it would be okay.
at the end of my meal, i put the extra cheese, that was included in my meal, in a togo container.
the waiter came and picked on me saying “you take but don’t pay.”

also, i forgot to mention the entire time there was a language barrier.

he got his manager, after explaining in his native too he something that i only caught fragments of and I was told i was unable to ever return.

i just didn’t get why it was a big deal.

i believe they wanted me to be upset or irate at the restaurant, they kept egging it on and trying to make a fuss.

i didn’t , of course. but it was rude, to say the least.

Our food was cold, it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. Fajitas were not hot, and zizling and my steak tacos al carbon were also cold to the touch. Asked to speak to the manager, and he argued with me and said we could leave if we weren't happy.
Never apologized or offered to make it right. Rather, he made an excuse that they had a large party of Mexican people, and it was obvious they were catering to them.
This used to be our favorite restaurant but last couple of times food has not been hot. We don't mind waiting but food must be hot.

Very crowded, Makes it difficult to get my wheelchair or walker through the room.

It’s an okay Mexican restaurant. The food was good and the atmosphere was good. The service was a bit slow, and our waiter (Luis?) wasn’t the most pleasant person I encountered that day. He wasn’t rude, but he wasn’t warm or inviting, either. We felt like we were bothering him when requesting something. With a Mexican restaurant on every corner of every city from here to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, I’d choose another place next time I’m in Hattiesburg.

Hidden gem in Hattiesburg. Their tacos are absolutely out of this world. Family friendly restaurant as well. Limited seating inside the restaurants so I usually take mine to go.

Every visit is amazingly better than the last. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. Still the best Mexican food restaurant in the pinebelt.
