Delicious! I absolutely loved the mac and cheese. The hamburger steak was a good sized portion with plenty of gravy. Ill definitely be back!

DO NOT GO!! This was horrible! How can you mess up fried chicken?! The food was old and dry! The gravy tasted like flour water! The greens were unseasoned and old! The cake they gave was rubbery!! For two plates I paid almost $30 and I want my money back!! I try to go to local spots but never again!!

Very good food and reasonable prices

I stopped in the food was just getting put on the steam line everything was hot but not fresh !fish had been fried in old grease ! Ribs dry and tough and barely no bark or flavor profile the macaroni and cheese was salty and and oily the only thing worth eating today was the baked beans the poor guy working in there was working by himself no help running back and forth between. The line and the back to the fryers and to the cash registers great music Selection very clean bathrooms but the place was empty it had could have great potential if he had the help he needed and maybe if the food didn’t have a older taste .

tried this place on a whim & it was great! The catfish was seasoned well, fresh, & fried to perfection. I didn’t have to put anything on my greens. They were so good! Love me some fried okra & they didn’t disappoint. I’m so full & laid to the side typing this review lol I can’t wait to visit again! Oh yea, shoutout to Mr. Jerry Wayne. Thx for the hospitality!

I TRULY love southern cooking. Eastside Soul Food Restaurant falls within that "love". I admit that I wanted to try the turkey necks AND the baked chicken. EVERYTHING was seasoned perfectly. The butterbeans, rice & gravy, turnips and mac n cheese were so good that I savored every bite and made myself wait til later to eat the turkey necks. Even the sweet tea was good.
Eastside Soul Food Restaurant is being added to my "go to" places in Hattiesburg. Kudos! and keep up the great cooking!

Everything was good and hot, very flavorful and delicious! The service was nice. The only recommendation is for fresh brewed tea instead of the fountain machine tea.
