Driving through on the way home from NOLA and found this gem. The food was amazing. Our server, Aubrey, was adorable. You HAVE to check out the bathrooms. They're very creative.

This was my first impression of this establishment! They were very rude to me and my friends. After saying we couldn’t get in because of the time frame, which is understandable, another pair of young ladies came shortly after and was let in. HHMMMM , was it because the color of their skin ? I wonder … I was also recording then the boss started shouting that we were LOITERING while talking to the security on duty. The parking lot security was very nice and politer though! Thats about the as nice as it got tho!

If you looking for a place to eat or to unwind from a long day or just shake your groove thing.Then this is the place to go.Theres many different events that happen there also .Line dance classes Karaoke night midget wrestling is just a few things they have .There's music bands from all over that come play.Its just a all out fun place to be Great employees and a great atmosphere

JS Tavern has potential to be a fun spot, but the staff and security absolutely ruined the experience. From the moment we walked up, the security was unbelievably rude. They patted me down like I was sneaking into Fort Knox, then had the nerve to practically demand a tip afterward. For what? Giving me a hard time? Not a chance.
Inside, the bar itself was fine. Cool setup, good atmosphere. But the attitude from both the servers and the door staff killed it. No one wants to pay to be treated like garbage, especially when there are plenty of other places in Hattiesburg that know how to treat their customers right.
I will not be going back.

Didn’t eat there, so no idea about the food. Beer was good, but had to leave because they were going to make us pay a cover charge for the band that was playing in the building outback. Just wanted to sit and drink a few beers with my buddy I was in town to visit, but had to cut it short. Also, wasn’t told by the bartender that she charged my card for someone else’s tab. It was refunded, but waking up to over $200 for two beers on your credit card was not fun. A heads up would have been nice. Don’t think I’ll be going again, but maybe others will not have the same experience.

Owner obviously lied about being at capacity, and as people were leaving still would not let a single person in. She eventually called law enforcement to make all the people waiting to get in leave the premises. I honestly think it's because a lot of the people didn't look exactly how she wanted them to. Definitely not a good first impression for me.
Fantastic place for indoor and outdoor music! Was there for the June Jam Blues Festival!

We went up to the June Jam with 9 bands ! This is the best venue we've been to in a long time. The hospitality was second to none and Janet the owner is a fantastic lady that showed us a great time ! We will watch this venue and me and my friends will be going back for sure oh the food is awesome too! We will be there for The June Jam in 2026 you can bet if you missed this one you better not miss the next one ! 9 bands on 2 bandstands!!! See y'all net year!
