It's not bad but a bit pricey for really nothing special. They no longer have the stuffed mushrooms other posts rave about on their menu.

The best Italian in Hattiesburg. I looked up the best restaurant in Harrisburg and this was the spot. I ordered the Mario's Special (chicken and shrimp pasta) with a glass of Kendall Jackson, the food was good and the wine pairing was excellent. My waitress, Nesa, was attentive and on top of drink refills. Will definitely eat again here next time I'm in Hattiesburg.

food tasted frozen… also have heard multiple rumors of staff mistreatment which is super sad to think about, but you can tell it’s true with how miserable the staff

I ordered the lobster stuff ravioli and it was not good. And it was small in portion to be so high. The bread was really good. I just expected

Very lackluster atmosphere, felt more like a fast food place with tacky tables and booths.I ordered the Frutti Di Mare with extra mussels. ($9. up charge) I’m still looking for the clams and scallops in the dish. Sorry Mario’s, but we’re probably not coming back. PS. Wine & beer doesn’t = Bar

Stopped at Mario’s on the way home and wow! Truly authentic Italian food at reasonable prices. From handmade rolls to calzone, food was incredible. I had the veal parm, wife had some shrimp and pasta dish. Both were excellent. Good wine selection, staff was exceedingly nice.
