Don't judge a book by its cover! I stopped in from outside of town and so glad I did. I had the jerk chicken, the chicken was full of flavor. The peas and rice extremely delicious, and reminded me of time spent in Jamaica. The cabbage is cooked nicely and complimented the chicken. Don't pass this place up!

Oxtails are my favorite. They never have the macaroni and cheese ready unfortunately and I could use more browning gravy on rice. The plantain was my 3rd option but got them it was okay not my favorite.

Real Jamaican food available in Hattiesburg.. I could give it 5 stars for that reason alone but the food is good . Service is great. I see they have relocated from the old location . Glad I found them again. I'm not from the area but like to stop and grab some on my way through. My only negative is I wish it was a bigger sign by the building so anyone not aware of the location would be to see it. Or even a potential new customer passing by would notice it.

Everything about Monica's is amazing. The taste, freshness, portion and friendly service is impeccable! My husband and I are from FL and are so happy that we found this spot and even going it again after they moved. Definitely a must-try and we would recommend to anyone!
