Don't judge a book by its cover! I stopped in from outside of town and so glad I did. I had the jerk chicken, the chicken was full of flavor. The peas and rice extremely delicious, and reminded me of time spent in Jamaica. The cabbage is cooked nicely and complimented the chicken. Don't pass this place up!
Imagine the best smoked chicken you've ever had, now imagine it with a good spicy kick and that's Monica's Jerk Chicken. Absolutely one of the best spots in Hattiesburg to get some great food.
Oxtails are my favorite. They never have the macaroni and cheese ready unfortunately and I could use more browning gravy on rice. The plantain was my 3rd option but got them it was okay not my favorite.
