I feel that rose's barbecue is an asset to the community. Especially this far down highway 49, their food is reasonably repriced. It's always really good. The atmosphere is friendly.I eat there 234 times a week

Got dinner here today, is wonderful as always.. got a lb of brisket, 1/2 lb of drummettes, and mac and cheese and this mac and cheese is so good.

Best. Barbecue. Period.

Rose's is the best barbecue in the Pine Belt. You're going to drop a fistful of dollars going there, but you'll eat for a week on it. Do one of the family meals. They're all worth it. And the white potatoe salad is a gift from heaven. Try it. You'll see.

I've eaten there quite a few times and it was pretty good. This trip ribs were small and dry . Bake beans had a sour taste and potato salad came straight bucket from Cisco. I'll go back one day hoping it's better.

Second time trying this place. It's expensive I'll say that especially for the most poverty stricken state in the nation, and by Hattiesburg at that, it's expensive. Your not getting ribs and sides for 15-20$ here. It's by the pound, no specials, no combos none of that. The ribs were just ok. Nothing special, no real smoke flavor, little chewy but you can get through it, at least my ribs were. Maybe for the area this is good bbq, but vs. whats available in the Gulf as a whole this isn't it.

Located in a convenience store. The meat was pretty good but none of the sides were prepared fresh. Potato salad looked and tasted like something from a grocery store deli package, not great. Cold fries etc…the potato logs were ok despite being cold.
People were nice enough.
