South Mississippi Crawfish Company

Hesitant to post this review, because I’d hate to get there and be turned away because they are out of crawfish…but Paul and the guys here at South Mississippi Crawfish Company always take care of me. I make a point to eat here every Saturday with my girlfriend. We usually get 12lbs — she eats maybe a pound while I put down the rest. Prices are fair, sizes range from medium to large, and the flavor is good. Highly recommend them if you need to get your fix!

Crawfish were very small, soft and a lot were straight tails. The potato was rotten when I bit in had a dark brown hole and the corn had zero flavor and was soft and soggy had to spit out was not good I do not recommend this was our first time going here will not be back

Overcooked and over priced. Flavor was excellent, but about a 3rd of the crawfish were extremely mushy (overcooked) to the point of where I couldn't even eat them. After I gave my card for payment I saw the menu and realized they were $5.25 a pound. I could have gone to Stricks and got them for $4.29 a pound. Very disappointed.

Called and reserved a sack of live bugs two weeks out. They didn’t forget and sent me text messages about my reservation and when to pick up the bag. Nice, kind, and fast. The crawdads are fresh and good quality. I have gotten live crawfish from them a few times and you can usually expect medium to large size crawfish. Highly recommend!

The crawfish were super small, not purged well, and salty. Maybe a bad batch but they were pretty gross.

Seasoned well but mostly small, soft shelled crawfish… $1.25/lb. more than their competitors

I live in Laurel, but 2-3 times a season I drive to S Miss Crawfish Co. to buy live bugs because they ALWAYS have the most reasonable (cheapest) price on live bugs. Keep up the great work fellas! Laissez bon temps rouler!!!

Amazing tasting crawfish! Great prices compared to other places in the burg or in general. Friendly staff and a great spot to pull up a bench and eat crawfish.

Stopped by and was told that it would be an hour. Went back an hour later and was told it would be a while longer.I had called a day before and was told phone orders weren’t accepted but assured me they would have 20 pounds when they open at 4.Maybe they just had a bad day.

It's the first place I ever had crawfish. I thought it was great. Then I had crawfish at another "crawfish" place only to realize how extremely incredible the South Mississippi Crawfish Company really is, their crawfish are amazing.

Great guys, easy to get in touch with to reserve live crawfish and the crawfish were top quality. Highly recommend!
