Returning to Mississippi for the Christmas break, my family was worn out from a prior day of shopping and an entire present day of driving. Made it to Mississippi to see my 5 grandkids. Guess what?! MORE TIRED ?. But now, we're hungry, too. Like HUNGRY. But we've got mom too, so we can't just go "anywhere." So why not go somewhere that we can never go when back home because back home doesn't have it. So WARD'S It was. And it was like being back at Southern Mississippi in the 80s. They've been here since 78. They were the NEW BURGER PLACE when I got to Hattiesburg. Now, they're simply just the BEST. ??. Hot fresh delicious food that's still logically priced. When they really could charge a LOT more. But then again. Family doesn't overcharge family.Dietary restrictions: I don't eat beef or pork. So the grilled chicken combo was a clutch play.

A South Ms fast food hotspot. First and foremost they have their own rootbeer and for me its one of the best I've ever had. They have an abundance of food to order as well but they are home to the Big One. A chili cheese burger that's carried the restaurant for years. It's tasty although it can be quite greasy. If you have a cheat day for your diet, I'd recommend. I also highly recommend ordering the spicy fries as they are genuinely better overall and not spicy in the slightest.

My wife and I are from Laurel but now we live in Texas. Every time we visit it is a must that we stop by Ward's for a Big One and Chilli cheese fry.

The home of the most iconic chili burger in the state. So very fine!
The food has no flavor and the fries were so bad that when we passed by your sign we said your fries you're not the best and they're really bad and Wendy's is much better than your store. What were really trying to say is you guys need to work harder and smarter. This was bullshit because I did not get my cookie. Next time give me my cookie or I will bomb you. This sucked so much the cookie was half an inch wide .

Ordered a "Big" double chili cheese burger to go for lunch at work. Got ready to eat and it was a single burger with maybe a tablespoon of canned hot dog chili on it. I paid for a double burger. One of the girls at the counter who took my order was fairly courteous but the other seemed very unhappy to be bothered. The burger was not impressive at all. Not very tasty and not "Big". Certainly not worth $9.50. Kinda dingy inside. I've never been to a Wards before and won't be returning.

When we travel to Petal MS we ALWAYS STOP @ a Wards. They have the BEST Burger( loaded down with chili) & fries. Not to mention their own homemade ROOTBEER. Always get a large with no ice ( don't want to water it down).
