This is always one of the first places we go when we have a date night. It never disappoints. The reason we go here without the kids is because we want to enjoy ourselves and not be in a rush. we just went here last night for our anniversary and everything was chef's kiss was usual.
Fanfreakingtastic!!!
Food was hot and plentiful. Flounder was a nice piece. Shrimp were cooked to perfection. Services was friendly and efficient.
It’s nice to dine at a restaurant that is locally owned that checks all of our boxes. We are stuffed!
The Parish has become our favorite Hernando restaurant. The owner (who does not know us) is clearly an accomplished chef. I can’t brag about this place enough: The food is tremendous! The front of house manager, Barry, is nothing but first rate, could not be more accommodating, and is always very attentive to diners’ needs. Then, there’s the wait staff. We only know a few of them by name: Sarah, Caitlyn, Kelly…but they are likely the best servers in DeSoto County!...read full review

The Parish Oyster Bar & Restaurant is a popular spot, often with a line of people waiting. Known for their oysters, they once even gave away a partial dozen to customers when they ran out. The owner and staff are praised for their attentiveness and patience. The blackened grouper, crab stuffed grouper, and pan seared halibut are standout dishes, along with the horseradish, crème brûlée, and fried banana foster cheesecake. The double bone chop and BBQ shrimp are also delicious, while the crawfish bread is a must-have. Many customers appreciate the friendly and attentive service, with staff making guests feel welcomed, even in busy situations. Some found the metal chairs uncomfortable, but the food and service receive high marks. The Parish is often recommended as a go-to place for special occasions, like anniversaries, and is known for consistently wonderful items and perfect sauces. The specials change weekly, keeping diners excited for new flavors. Overall, it is a successful establishment with many satisfied customers.
