I had the Bent's Burger. It was good... but was it something that I'd write home about? No... but what I really went there for was the Apothecary Bar. That was nice. It was a small bar, but it nice.
Don't know what all the HYPE is here about the milkshakes, but the coffee milkshake I had here was TERRIBLE. WEAK flavor; just food coloring, and NO flavor! If you want a consistently *GREAT* milkshake, go to Frozen Bop's Custard! They are ON THE MONEY every time!
I’ll never forget how uncomfortable this establishment and the staff made me feel. I did not feel welcomed.
You can't come to Jackson and not go to Brent's Drug's
Everything was good, but they definitely tasted us like we were outsiders.
Awesome old school diner with excellent food. The Love Bowl was great and everything tasted awesome. World class biscuits as well. Service was friendly and fast. Awesome spot for breakfast.
Ate breakfast. Burrito was great, but the star is the chicken biscuit. Best I've ever had anywhere
Hubs and I were in Jackson as a stop over on our way to Texas. This restaurant was walking distance from our hotel. What a great choice!!! A throw back to another era. Good food. The vanilla shake was so very good! All good was freshly made. Staff was friendly and fast. If I’m ever this way again I’ll be coming back to Brent’s Drugs!!! Happy to support a local establishment.
We had the best time at Brent’s! It was our first time bc we were visiting from out of town. Our server, Mary, was so nice and friendly! We really enjoyed talking to her. She told us all about the history and showed us tbe speakeasy in the back. She also told us the movie “The Help” was filmed there. We had French fries as an appetizer and they were the best I ever had! I ordered tbe omelet which was delicious. My son got the chicken and waffles which comes with homemade hot honey. It was just so much fun to eat in an authentic 50s diner! I’m so glad we went!
The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was incredible.Just like an old soda fountain diner.

We ordered a couple of burgers and fries and a shake to go while we were driving through. Everything was delicious and the staff was super friendly when I went in to pick it up!

Located in the Fondren district on Jackson is Brent’s. This bad boys been open up since the 40s and was actually a drug store, hence the whole “Drugs”. Well now they don’t seek drugs anymore, unclear if you can get some tho, and serve classic diner food.
Brent’s is located in a shopping center next to a grocery store so there is ample parking. This is a rather like “hippie” part of Jackson. I saw some purple hair and a Harris/Walz sign. Never would’ve thought that in the heart of the Confederacy I’d see this. S/o.
There’s ample seating inside and you can see the kitchen area. I saw a big black dude and a white guy with a cig back there and I was like oh hell yeah! Our server was solid. Looked like me describing MGK to a police sketch artist but boy did he have a heavy pour on our drinks.
Fried Chicken Sandwich 7.510 - added some eggs to this. No frills just a solid chicken and egg sandwich. The one from Mollys in NOLA is fresh in my mind (in perpetuity) so you can’t go back and give this an 8. No way.
Pancake 7.5/10 - just a solid solid pancake. Isaiah Hartenstein. Nothing fancy just solid.
As always breakfast food is never bad, rarely great, always solid.
I’d check this out again! It’s a cool little night spot apparently

Everything about this old school diner was just fantastic, the atmosphere was so old school and I loved it.
The food was amazing and full of flavor, I got the buttermilk pancakes and they were just perfect and my eggs was cooked to the exact way I like my eggs.
Our waitress ebony ?was full or smiles and suggestions to the breakfast cut potatoes, whi h was delicious.
My husband got the bobs burrito and taste so fresh.
Will definitely be back due to we are not from Mississippi but eating at this place just made our Mississippi last food pit stop just a perfect ending ????

Yes I ate here and everything was going fine...I came....I BG'd for a movie....ate a piece of my burger which was a little pink in the middle but I didn't think to much of it l, I just didn't finish it....had fun...and than left. But by that night..I was struggling for dear life with food poisoning. This happened wed 9-18 and I just now today stopped throwing up and it's Sat. I was admitted into 2 hospitals. Idk about the rest of the food but be very careful with the burgers. Almost killed me?
